Additionally, gifts given to Secret Friends at the Winter Star festival are multiplied by 5, and birthday gifts by 8, allowing you to gain four hearts at once.

· **The "Friendship Basics" Book:** Reading this book permanently increases all friendship gains by 10%. You can purchase it with coupons at Lewis's house or from the Traveling Cart starting in year 3.
· **Movie Theater:** Available after completing the Community Center. Watching a movie with a villager can increase friendship by 0 to 250 points, depending on the movie and snacks. Each villager has preferred movies and snacks.

· Maintaining friendship in Stardew Valley requires consistent effort. Friendship points decrease by 20 points daily, and if you don't interact for 12 days, a heart will disappear.
· Furthermore, giving bad gifts, digging through trash, attacking with the Rocket Launcher, or choosing the wrong dialogue options during events can decrease friendship. These decay effects always apply to relationships with your spouse.

· Some villagers can reach a maximum of 10 hearts, indicating they are potential romantic partners. Upon reaching 8 hearts, you can purchase a Bouquet from Pierre's General Store to initiate a romantic relationship.

· After gifting the pendant, the wedding will take place three days later, and you will then live with your spouse. Your spouse will have a unique room on the farm and occasionally help by preparing breakfast, giving gifts, repairing fences, or watering crops. Upon reaching 12 hearts, they will give you a Starfruit.

· After marriage, there's a chance your spouse will suggest having a child. If you agree, the baby will be born 14 days later. This requires an upgraded house with a crib and at least one week of marriage.
· Children go through four stages of growth. Initially, they only sleep, then after two weeks, they learn to sit up, then crawl around the house after another two weeks, and finally start walking after a month. They do not grow any further after this.

· If you wish to divorce, submit the divorce papers at the Mayor's Manor. The ex-spouse will return to their previous home the next day. They will be marked as 'Ex-Wife' or 'Ex-Husband' next to their name.
· Friendship with the ex-spouse drops to 0, and children remain on the farm. The ex-spouse will no longer accept gifts and will not attend your wedding. Erasing the ex-spouse's memory at the Witch's Hut altar will reset everything.
