The Sandbox: "K-Verse Visited by 300,000 People, Will Expand Further This Year"

The Sandbox, a leader in blockchain metaverse platforms, held its Partner Day at Dreamplus Gangnam today (17th) to announce its plans for the year. The Sandbox, represented by voxel characters, has reached its current state by allowing creators to showcase numerous games through its own Game Maker.
Last December, it went a step further and held a LAND sale to sell LAND within its own metaverse, K-Verse, which was successfully completed. The Sandbox is preparing for an even bigger leap this year. At the event, COO Sebastien Borget introduced The Sandbox's 2023 plans through a keynote.
Sebastien COO said, "When I came to Seoul in 2019, I never imagined that The Sandbox and Korea would play such an important role in the metaverse. So I am very grateful to be here today with the partners, developers, and community."

Currently, The Sandbox is working with over 400 partners, 59 of which are Korean partners. Sebastien COO said, "Korea is one of the largest markets in the world. It is very meaningful that all partners cooperate and work together," and added, "The Sandbox's metaverse challenge is just beginning. We plan to introduce more projects in the future."
K-Verse is a prime example of such projects. So far, a total of 80,000 people have enjoyed it, and more than 310,000 people have visited K-Verse. The average playtime per user is 1 hour and 33 minutes. While explaining these indicators, Sebastien COO explained that they are meaningful indicators in many ways and that they will strive to become more user-friendly in the future.

K-Verse consists of a total of 166,464 LANDs. Last December, the K-Verse LAND sale was held to sell LANDs, and the sale was successfully completed. Sebastien COO said that he could feel that Korea's position within the metaverse has grown a lot thanks to these achievements.
Currently, K-Verse is preparing for LAND Sale Season 2. The goal is to further expand K-Culture by working with more partners, and if the response is good, LAND Sale Season 3 will also be held.
Sebastien COO said, "The most important thing for The Sandbox is the creator. To this end, it is important to provide opportunities to local builder studios and creators. And the key is what they will create for local brands. However, one thing that is disappointing is that there doesn't seem to be a place that represents Korea in relation to avatars yet. I hope that this year, we will be able to cooperate with partner companies, celebrities, and entertainment companies to create Korean avatars that can be used within The Sandbox," he said, ending his keynote.
