In this video, we introduce a Xenomorph build utilizing perks that have been changed in Dead by Daylight's latest PTB (Public Test Build). We pay special attention to the rework of the 'Enduring Rage' perk and analyze the benefits that the reduced cooldown after destroying a turret will bring to gameplay.
'Enduring Rage' reduces the basic attack cooldown by 40%, and each successful basic attack further reduces the cooldown by an additional 10%. This is expected to increase chase potential by enabling a quicker return after attacking with a turret.
The second perk is 'Pride in the Darkness'. It increases the basic vault speed by 25% and extends the duration of blindness or pallet stuns by 25%. This can enhance Xenomorph's mobility and survivability.
The third perk is 'Unforeseen'. When a healthy survivor becomes injured, they gain a 5% speed boost for 30 seconds when vaulting windows. Previously, it offered a 7% boost for 25 seconds, but now it provides a 5% boost for 25 seconds. This offers additional mobility during survivor chases.
The final perk is 'Deception'. This perk has not been changed, but it was selected considering its synergy with the build. When vaulting a window, that window is blocked for survivors for 16 seconds, and the basic vault speed is increased by 50%. Only one window can be blocked at a time.
We've constructed a build that maximizes Xenomorph's potential by combining these perks with the 'Self-Destruct Bolt' and 'Dull Skin' add-ons.

We've constructed a build that maximizes Xenomorph's potential by combining these perks with the 'Self-Destruct Bolt' and 'Dull Skin' add-ons.
We verify the effects of the newly changed perks through actual gameplay. We focus particularly on how quickly the 'Enduring Rage' perk allows for a return to chase after a turret attack, and how much the speed boost from 'Unforeseen' helps in chases.
In the first game, we demonstrate pressuring survivors by utilizing Xenomorph's fast attack speed and vaulting capabilities. The combination of 'Pride in the Darkness' and 'Enduring Rage' showcases rapid attack recovery and chase potential, while the speed boost from 'Unforeseen' effectively closes the distance with survivors.
In the second game, we employ a strategy that maximizes the utility of the perks according to the map's characteristics and survivor movements. By linking the speed boost from 'Unforeseen' during vaults with the window blocking effect of 'Deception', we limit survivors' escape routes and gain an advantage in chases.
While mentioning a few disappointing aspects encountered during the game (e.g., missed attacks, phantom hitboxes), the player emphasizes that the changed perks are positively impacting Xenomorph's playstyle overall. They particularly acknowledge the value of 'Enduring Rage' as a convenience perk, rating these perk changes as making the game more enjoyable.
While the player generally gives a positive assessment of these perk changes, they point out a few shortcomings related to the 'reduction effect' system. They mention that the value of perks can be diluted when multiple perks offer similar effects, leading to a 'reduction effect', and suggest that diversifying perk effects would be beneficial for a wider range of choices.
For instance, if multiple perks offer similar speed boost effects, the actual perceived effect might be reduced due to the 'reduction effect' system. The player believes this system can partially counteract the original intent of the perks and hopes the development team will consider ways to diversify perk effects.
Subsequently, the gameplay continues to showcase Xenomorph utilizing its abilities to chase and hook survivors. Considering it's a PTB environment, the player demonstrates flexible play by intentionally opening the exit gate and refraining from using mori, concluding the content.
Finally, the player asks viewers to leave their opinions on this patch in the comments and announces plans to create videos on other builds in the future. They conclude by encouraging likes and subscriptions to the video.
