The '2023 Metaverse Expo' and '2023 Metaverse + Generative AI Summit', now in its 6th year, will be held for three days from June 14 (Wed) to 16 (Fri) at Hall C of COEX in Seoul.
This exhibition expands its scope to include digital twins, future education, NFT, and blockchain technologies, focusing on metaverse platforms, software, and devices, including examples of metanomics companies being built with various business models.
This year's exhibition will feature leading companies such as Lotte Data Communication's subsidiary 'Caliverse' with its immersive metaverse, Unity's partner company 'Dimoa' specializing in 3D content creation software, and digital twin-based medical AI solution company 'Medical IP', where you can explore metaverse software, platforms, and solutions.
In addition, Microsoft's partner 'KCIM' will showcase HoloLens 2, and you can meet leading companies in VR and AR devices and hardware such as global IT company 'HTC Vive's MR/AR headset XR Elite and 'PICO's HMD device 'PICO 4'.
In addition, various technologies incorporating metaverse such as NFT, blockchain, AI, and hardware will be showcased through the exhibition.
The '2023 Metaverse + Generative IA Summit', held concurrently with this event, will take place for three days in the conference hall within the exhibition hall, focusing on the themes of metaverse and generative AI, Web 3.0, blockchain, and metanomics.
On June 14 (Wed), the theme will be 'The future created by the new internet philosophy Web 3.0 and the new internet experience Metaverse'. Kang Do-hyun, Director of Information and Communication Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, will announce the direction of Korea's metaverse policy, and Lee Seung-hwan, Principal Researcher at the Convergence SW Research Lab of the Software Policy Research Institute, will explain the metaverse applied with GPT. In addition, LG CNS, Samsung Electronics, etc. will give lectures on Web 3.0.
On June 15 (Thu), the theme will be 'Metanomics, the ultimate combination of the real and virtual worlds'. Dena Feldman, Director of Reality Labs Policy at Meta, will give a lecture on the metaverse prospects in the Asia-Pacific region, and Kim Dong-gyu, CEO of Caliverse, will present the ultra-realistic metaverse platform, and Bae Soon-min, Executive Director of AI2XL Research Institute at KT Convergence Technology Institute, will announce the changes that generative AI will bring to the metaverse. In addition, metaverse-based virtual economic activities and business strategies will be discussed through presentations by Unity Korea, The Sandbox Korea, etc.
On the last day, June 16 (Fri), there will be presentations on 'GPT, how the evolution of generative AI will change life, work, and way of thinking'. Lee Geon-bok, Managing Director of Microsoft, will present on hyper-scale AI, and tech writer Kim Ji-hyun, an IT expert, will talk about the business ecosystem that ChatGPT will bring. In addition, generative AI services and business models will be explored through lectures by LG U+, Naver Cloud, etc.
