Key Equipment Enhancement Factors - Step-by-step stat summary from equipment modification

Summary of costs and additional stats for each modification stage

Equipment modification is an equipment growth factor that grants additional stats at a certain probability using blueprints. Modification blueprints can be obtained by paying Penny to Big Daddy Cypress, who appears in the Niflheim-Stern, Niflheim-Keel, Odyssey, and Moros Four Heavenly Kings areas, or as a reward for clearing Erosion and Moros Four Heavenly Kings. Modification blueprints are divided into three grades: Normal, Rare, and Special, and the success rate of equipment modification increases from 50% to a maximum of 90% as the grade increases.

When performing equipment modification, you consume Fragment Crystals, Riftstones, and Penny in addition to modification blueprints. The number of materials required for modification varies depending on the equipment part. For example, weapons that can only be equipped one at a time have the highest modification cost, while armor and accessories, which have various parts, require 50% and 30% of the materials compared to weapons, respectively. Also, when using modification blueprints of the same type when modifying equipment, the modification stats can increase up to 8 stages. Attempting high-stage equipment modification requires more materials, but the stats are stacked accordingly, greatly strengthening the character.

If equipment modification fails, a stat called 'Durability' increases. If Durability reaches its maximum, you cannot proceed with equipment modification, but fortunately, you can still equip it. And you can use the 'Big Daddy's Special Durability Recovery Kit', which Big Daddy Cypress in the Niflheim-Stern or higher area sells for 500,000 Penny, to reset the Durability to 0 and proceed with equipment modification again.

However, if you use a different modification blueprint on equipment that is being modified, the modification progress will not be accumulated, and only the 1-stage stat of the most recently used modification blueprint will be applied. Therefore, when modifying equipment, it is best to choose one modification blueprint that suits the characteristics of the character you are developing and raise the modification stage to the end.

▲ Special Durability Recovery Kit that resets Durability to 0, essential for modification

▲ Be careful as the modification stage is reset if you use a different blueprint during modification
