Overwatch 2 launched its new season, 'Season of the Witch,' on October 11th (Wed), filled with new experiences such as the new 'Onryo' Hanzo Mythic Skin, the new map 'Samoa,' a new game mode, and a Sombra rework.

Season 7: Season of the Witch, decorated with a spookier theme than ever, invites players into a grim and chilling journey.

First, befitting the season's theme, the new Mythic Skin is 'Onryo' Hanzo. Players can freely customize the Dragonstrike ultimate effect and skin colors, giving a chilling feeling to enemies and allies alike. In addition, purchasing the Ultimate Battle Pass bundle grants access to the 'Lilith' Moira and 'Inarius' Pharah Legendary Skins, as well as a new Epic skin for Bastion themed around Pumpkin Spice. It also includes 1,000 Overwatch Coins and a 20-tier skip.

The spooky atmosphere continues in the new Blizzard crossover game mode, 'Trials of Sanctuary.' With a great evil threatening Sanctuary, players must choose one of the following in the 4-player co-op brawl 'Trials of Sanctuary' - Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Raven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperius Reinhardt, or Inarius Pharah - to fight against the endless hordes of darkness. Season 7 also includes a large-scale balance update. Above all, the reworked Sombra with an active play style is highly anticipated. Key changes include the addition of Virus, a new ability that deals continuous damage to the target, and changing the existing Stealth ability to a passive ability. The Translocator ability has also been revamped, so that when Sombra throws the Translocator, she will teleport immediately.

In addition, hero balance changes for Mei, Zarya, Orisa, Ramattra, etc., and the revamp of the Escort map Route 66 were also carried out in line with the start of the season. The Roadhog rework is also scheduled to be revealed in the middle of Season 7.
