'Viper' was selected as POG in the second set of the Round 1 match against Kwangdong Freecs at the 2023 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split held at Jonggak LoL Park on the 17th, showing tremendous carry potential with Aphelios. He recorded over 60,000 damage in about 45 minutes, with a DPM of 1,393 and DMG% of 49.3%.
On this day, when asked by the announcer who the 'best Aphelios' was, 'Viper' indirectly mentioned his World Championship winning skin, leaving a witty answer that brought laughter to the scene.

Q. What are your thoughts on winning the game?
I'm glad to finally receive POG. It was close today, but I'm even happier that we won 2:0.
Q. Predictions before the game were very close. What was your mindset?
Whenever predictions like that are made, I actually prefer it when our votes are lower. I feel more comfortable and work a little harder.
Q. You ended the game with a quadra kill and dragon steal at the last Elder Dragon fight in the second set.
I rushed in without thinking, so I didn't even realize I stole the Elder Dragon. I went in praying that the opponent would be slow to take it.
Q. The Aphelios-Milio combination currently has a 6:1 advantage against Zeri-Yuumi. What are your thoughts on this?
Bottom lane priority is very important these days. That's why the side that picks Aphelios seems to have a higher win rate.
Q. 'Viper' also has a record of 5 wins and 1 loss with Aphelios. Did you practice a lot specifically?
I've played the champion a lot before, and I didn't really practice more. I thought it was a champion suitable for the meta, so I picked it.
Q. Who do you think is the best Aphelios player in the LCK?
