Kwangdong Freecs win 2:1 in a close series with an Ace Match!

In the second match of the KartRider Drift League (KDL) Pre-Season 2 held at the Vita500 Colosseum in Jamsil on the 17th, defending champion Kwangdong Freecs defeated amateur team Potential 2:1. Potential forced ace match in both the first and second sets against Kwangdong Freecs, but unfortunately lost.

Kwangdong Freecs went all-out from the first round of the speed match against amateur team Potential. All four players dominated the lead with classy driving, and 'Spear' Yoo Chang-hyun went to the middle to check the opposing players, leading Kwangdong Freecs to an easy victory.

Potential caught Kwangdong Freecs in the second round. 'Summer' Hwang Geon-ha and 'Taemin' Park Tae-min took 1st and 2nd place, followed closely by 'Seongbin' Bae Seong-bin, but Potential's two players were not caught by 'Seongbin' Bae Seong-bin, taking 1st and 2nd place, defeating Kwangdong Freecs, who took 2nd to 6th place, making it 1:1.

And in the third round, 'Wave' Lee Hae-won, 'Best' Lee Ju-ho, and others performed well, achieving two consecutive wins in the speed match against Kwangdong Freecs. But Kwangdong was not going to back down. In the fourth round, Kwangdong Freecs took 1st to 4th place, winning by an overwhelming margin, tying the score at 2:2. And in the final fifth round, the experienced Kwangdong Freecs defeated Potential, achieving a hard-fought victory.

Potential's resistance continued in the item match that followed. After a battle of item psychology from the first round, Potential took the first win. However, Kwangdong Freecs succeeded in winning two consecutive rounds in the second and third rounds with appropriate pace control and item utilization.

In the early stages of the fourth round, Potential's 'Wave', 'Taemin', and others took the lead. From the middle onwards, Kwangdong Freecs also actively used items to warm up for the chase, and 'Seongbin', 'Cool', and 'Spear' attempted a comeback, but Potential succeeded in a good defense until the end, making it 2:2. And Potential, who won until the fifth round, led the ace match against defending champion Kwangdong Freecs.

However, the wall of Kwangdong Freecs was high. Kwangdong Freecs took a win as 'World' Noh Jun-hyun, who had good results in ace matches since last season, defeated 'Summer' Hwang Geon-ha.
