Diablo Immortal Surpasses $500 Million in Revenue After 1 Year of Service"

 

Market research firm data.ai (formerly App Annie) estimated that Diablo Immortal's first-year revenue was $525 million (approximately ₩672.9 billion). Revenue in Korea was tallied at ₩58.5 billion. data.ai added that revenue from China, Android markets other than Google Play, and PC were not included.

 

data.ai analyst Randy Nelson said, "Diablo Immortal became the 15th fastest game to surpass $500 million in revenue." He added, "This achievement proves that experts who doubted the success of 'Diablo Immortal' were wrong."

 

The fastest games to surpass $500 million in revenue include 'Pokémon GO' (2 months), 'Lineage M' (3 months), 'Genshin Impact' (4 months), and 'Lineage 2 Revolution' (4 months). data.ai's figures are based on estimated revenue from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

 

data.ai estimated that 37% (approximately ₩249 billion) of 'Diablo Immortal's revenue came from China. Revenue in the United States was 24.4% (approximately ₩164.2 billion). South Korea accounted for 8.7% (₩58.5 billion).

 

'Diablo Immortal' officially launched on June 3, 2022 (Korean time). It set records such as over 35 million pre-registrants and topping the download charts in over 40 countries' app stores immediately after launch. In Korea, it also ranked #1 in downloads immediately after launch on all app markets, including One Store, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store.

 

To celebrate its 1st anniversary, an original class will be added to 'Diablo Immortal' in July. In addition, Blizzard will be conducting job-specific additional skills, new areas, three limited-time events, a Helliquary system update, and return events through the 1st anniversary update 'Awakening of Destruction'.
