Cooler Master, the artisan of cooler manufacturing, booth visit at COMPUTEX

What do you think when you see a brand name that symbolizes the best in a particular company name? From my perspective, it's a bit cringe-worthy. Of course, brands like Burger King or Wang뚜껑 (a Korean instant noodle brand) that I've been familiar with since I was young are fine because they sound like a single word, but if a company like 'GraphicsCardBestMan' or 'MegatonSSD' suddenly appeared, even if many people unanimously shouted that the company's product quality was excellent, it would take a long time for us to get used to it. Do you find it more familiar? Of course, I would welcome it with a smile, but I'm saying it would take time to gain trust in terms of quality and to recommend the product.

Hardware companies also tend to refrain from using names that include such modifiers. It's quite common to express it as a brand that exists within the company or to abbreviate it, but there aren't many places that openly use modifiers. Ah, there's one company that comes to mind.

CoolerMasteris a PC component manufacturer specializing in CPU coolers, as the name suggests, and is now expanding its business to cases and even gaming peripherals. There may be many users who are not familiar with it in Korea, but it was founded in 1992, so its position in the field is solid. In the case of CoolerMaster, it is very popular among hardware fans in Korea for its CPU air and liquid coolers, as well as mid- to high-end PC cases.

When I just heard the name, it felt similar to 'The Strongest Security 3rd Squad,' where I briefly worked. To put it nicely, it's a company with a craftsman's spirit, but to criticize it a bit, it's a name that seems old-fashioned, but when you look at the logo, you can feel the trendiness that reminds you of a fashion brand's policy. It's also a brand I personally like.

I was happy to see CoolerMaster's booth at '2023 COMPUTEX' in Taiwan, the home of CoolerMaster. In particular, the huge CPU cooler decoration stuck on top of the exhibition hall was quite impressive. I took pictures of CoolerMaster's booth at COMPUTEX, where a custom PC in the shape of a shoe greeted visitors at the entrance.

▲ A sweet space tempts me from the entrance.

▲ There was also a racing game zone on one side.

▲ That shoe that once made hardware-related sites and communities buzz.

▲ You could see it at COMPUTEX!

▲ The details are alive.

▲ It's a PC.

▲ The appearance and color scheme remind me of Gundam.

▲ I can't give up the black and red combination shoes.

▲ SNEAKER X, a shoe PC made with a mini ITX motherboard

▲ On one side, there are their gaming keyboards and mice

▲ On the other side, air coolers, liquid coolers, and case fans were on display.

▲ Inside the booth, there was also a game experience zone created considering the CoolerMaster brand concept.

▲ The reason why you can only play racing games here is

▲ "Let me find out."

▲ When you crash in the game, the chair hits you.

▲ "It's so hard to play the game quietly." Reporter Park's overall review

▲ The booth is well decorated. I'll finish the scenery with a sculpture reminiscent of a CPU cooler.
