[Cosis] I went to Seoul Comic Con with a large robot Paragon Crunch cosplay.

Hello. I'm Altrouge from the professional cosplay team cosis.
I'm in charge of administrative work and playing games?

I created the team with Cosis's Rickert, and I'm a member who supports from behind (but reads it as chores)
mainly.

Because of my old-looking appearance... I've mainly cosplayed as middle-aged characters

and I haven't been cosplaying much lately

(That Reaper over there is me!)

By chance, I cosplayed as Reaper at an Overwatch tournament in Taiwan, or at offline events
I've been doing more and more cosplay,

but each time, I show off cosplay and performances of such poor quality

that it damages the reputation of Ekiholic or Rickert, who I'm cosplaying with, and there have been more and more cases of me causing trouble for cosis.

(The two people I'm cosplaying with are famous for their high-quality cosplay. ㅠ_ㅠ)

I kept thinking about quitting cosplay...but I still have a lot of regrets that I want to do more cosplay, so with a new mindset!
I started cosplaying again.

But, reality is harsh...

It was impossible to show off professional cosplay with a body that hasn't been managed at all for years,

Even if I work out at the gym every day, I couldn't lose the weight I've gained over the years overnight,

So I decided to try a new cosplay that I can do with a large body.

That is large-scale cosplay!

It's not a cosplay that you can easily see in Korea,From the portfolio works of special makeup teams working in Hollywood,to people who make their own, it's a type of cosplay that gains great popularity at offline events with its huge size.

Because of its huge size, the fine details are lacking, but it gains great popularity at events. It's a cosplay.

What kind of cosplay would be good?
While searching mainly for robot characters,
I found a character I liked

Although it is not yet serviced in Korea, very good graphicsasis known

Paragon!

I heard the news that the game supports Korean in the game with a large-scale patch yesterday, so I'm very much looking forward to it.

I was going to play the game that had a large-scale patch, but the server is under maintenance...

Crunchto
I decided to make it.

Personally, I was interested in the game, and I liked the character's personality of having big fists
and the fact that no one had done Crunch cosplay yet.

But this naive judgment
What a big mistake it would be.. ㅠ_ㅠ

With the naive thought of let's make it big!I decided to challenge the first production using eva foam, which is a common material.

But a fatal problem occurs only 3 days after starting production.

When Crunch's biggest feature, the big fist, was made only with eva,

The larger it got, the heavier it became, so people couldn't hold it and cosplay,The part where the weight was concentrated was torn, so it couldn't maintain its shape.

(To think of making a large robot with only these sponge-type materials..)

So I scrapped the first version that I was working hard on and started over from the beginning.
(My mentality was so broken in the process that I couldn't even take pictures)

The first plan was to work hard and participate in the Comic Con Cosplay Contest,
Because the first production version failed, I couldn't submit all the data for the preliminary application on time.

I contacted the organizer, but I can participate in the competition,I could only hear the sad news that I would be excluded from the judging.

(I'm doomed.. I'm doomed..)

But I couldn't give up like this, and with the goal of participating in Comic Con cosplay,
I continued to make cosplay.

(After it became impossible to participate in a normal competition, I had to fight even more with myself.)

In order not to repeat the same mistakes as before, the basic frame is made of solid iron.I started making it in the form of adding eva on top of it,

Making it with a weight that people can hold and withstand rather than details

I started making it as the top priority.

The torso is simply shaped with eva, and can be hung on the frame.I tried to design it

The huge arm was made by forming eva on a square iron pipe connected to the torso frame.

By repeating this work, I first completed Crunch and departed for Comic Con!
Since the volume is very large, I had no choice but to rent a 1-ton truck to move it.

When all the parts were put together in one place, it was a huge volume of cosplay.

Although my painting skills are still lacking, I tried my best to express the rust and make it look like an old robot.
I did my best.

Since the volume is large, many people helped me put on the cosplay costume.
From Rickert to the supporters who came to the event for me, I really
Thank you. I wouldn't have been able to wear cosplay at the event without these people.

First, put on the torso

Put the Crunch head on top of my head
In this case, the Crunch head can move in the direction the head moves,
A little realistic reaction becomes possible

In order to match the robot size balance, it is on a specially made leg.
You have to go up. In fact, more than making cosplay,
It was more difficult to practice walking. I think I practiced walking every night for over 2 weeks.

And if you attach Crunch's biggest feature, the huge arm, to your body
Crunch cosplay preparation complete!!!

This is a picture taken when I first wore and walked in the Crunch cosplay costume I made myself.

Actually, I was worried about whether I could keep walking around at the event,Fortunately, I was able to walk in the form I wanted.

I also took pictures next to the Overwatch Para large figure

I also took pictures next to the giant Hulk Buster.

Once I've perfected Crunch, I want to try Hulkbuster too.

Ah, it's really hard.. I was confident in my stamina, but I was exhausted in 30 minutes.

Production period: 1 month, from practicing walking to completing the robot(I couldn't make the Crunch head myself due to the production schedule) I worked hard
For the first timeI made a large cosplay.

Since it had to be made directly according to the Comic Con contest rules, I couldn't help
I would like to thank Rickert for continuing to give me advice.

It's still an alpha version of completion, so I'm going to offline events.I had a lot of worries

Fortunately, many people liked it and were amazed, so I was really happy.

We will add the details and balance that we missed and gave up due to weight reduction, and make it a more perfect Crunch cosplay.
I'll see you again!.

ps. If you have a lot of Epic Games Paragon character setting data
If you have one, please email cosplayis@naver.com!

I have a lot of difficulties making cosplay because I can't see the detailed details due to the dazzling light in the game. sob sob;;

This has been cosis Altrouge.
