No problem for new users either! New Track vs. Grand Live Training Comparison

Uma Musume Pretty Derby is celebrating its 1.5 year anniversary with the new scenario, Grand Live. Many users are praising the fact that the New Track scenario is over in the Korean server, and the reaction was not much different in the Japanese server.

I'll explain in detail below, but the biggest reason seems to be that the play time, which had been gradually increasing since the Aoharu era, reached its peak during the New Track era, making it feel more like labor than playing a game. In terms of gacha, there were many must-have pickups, which was a burden, and with the introduction of unfamiliar guts training, the Champions Meeting (hereinafter referred to as 챔미) difficulty was at its highest level.

However, this new scenario, Grand Live, is different. Not only has the play fatigue been greatly reduced, but it has also been praised for incorporating the Winning Live, which is a major part of Uma Musume, well into the game, and the fact that the stat limit has been broken, making it fun to train again, and that if you pick the initial pickups well, new and returning users can participate in 챔미 without much burden.

In many ways, I remember it as a scenario that brought back the fun of playing Uma Musume in a game that was becoming tiring, and as someone who is still active in the Japanese server, I have summarized a few memorable points about New Track and Grand Live.

▲ New Track, which was a dark age in the Japanese server, is gone and Gran Live is here!

Problems with New Track

Before going over the problems, let's talk about the good things. Not training, butThe 'concept' of focusing on tournamentsitself was good. URA and Aoharu were both training-oriented scenarios, so when organizing support cards, the specialty rate and training effect increase were prioritized, and the remaining options were often discarded.

However, in New Track, the race bonus was rated as the first option, and the effects of initial stat increase options, which had not been noticed, were seriously studied. Above all, no one had ever paid attention toRe-evaluation of guts cardsis a big deal.

Of course, later on, it changed to using only efficient cards, but still, a wider variety of cards were used compared to other scenarios, and the perspective on support effects and options changed a lot.

Thanks to this, I had fun imagining things like 'What card options will be in the spotlight in the next scenario? This time it was a race bonus, so maybe the next scenario will be directly related to the number of fans?' (The scenario was important for fans, but the fan number bonus didn't play an important role.)

▲ A training method that no one could have imagined until Aoharu, called guts training, also came out.

Also, since it was a virtue to participate in as many races as possible,It was also good for achieving a full victory for each Uma Musume.Of course, in the process, there were dark experiments on how much each Uma Musume could be overworked, but I think it's a positive element.

A scenario with quite a few advantages in terms of inheritancewas. Because it revolves around tournaments,The base acquisition Pt is high, so you can learn a variety of skills,This is directly linked to inheritance.

In addition, after participating in a race, you can randomly acquire skill hints, so if you're lucky, you can even get skills that you didn't organize, so even after Grand Live came out, there were quite a few users who did inheritance in New Track. But that's where the advantages ended, and there were many disadvantages inside.

▲ It showed strengths in inheritance with many race entries and various skill hints.

▣ Play time is too long

Even at the current point of 2.5 years, no scenario has surpassed New Track's play time. Rather, it's been decreasing with Grand Live - Grand Masters - L'Arc.

In terms of time, New Track has a training time of 40~60 minutes, Grand Live is 3~40 minutes, Grand Masters is 30 minutes, and L'Arc is enough with 20 minutes. (In L'Arc, the number of turns you can act has decreased.) Even the point at which you can decide to give up training is getting faster as you go back, so you can quickly move on to the next training.

However, New Track was a strange scenario where you could be doing well and suddenly fail in the senior training camp, and you had to watch the final Twinkle Star Climax training to see if it was a high score or not.

In the end, there were only demons among demons who did 5 trainings a day, and most people were satisfied with 1 training a day, and only attempted 2~3 trainings when it was tournament season.

If the New Track scenario is remade later, it should include a function that allows you to skip the tournament schedule in units of several turns at once (like a team race) to reduce fatigue.

▲ You have to plan the rotation schedule from the beginning, and you have to check the store every turn.

▣ You can only use the Uma Musume you use

Personally, I thought this was the biggest problem with the New Track scenario, the so-called'Mile' or 'Middle Distance' Spoon Theoryis. Based on New Track, there were nearly 100 Uma Musume, but if you count the Uma Musume that were mainly used during the scenario period, there are less than 20.

This is because the scenario requires you to participate in as many races as possible, but if you don't have a mile or middle distance aptitude,Give up almost half of the racesThis is a kind of penalty that occurs because you have to. It's not just about going to a race or not, but the stats you get are different because of the title bonus you get in that distance.

To make up for this, you have to modify the distance aptitude through inheritance, but even this is impossible for Uma Musume with a natural F~G aptitude, so they were never used in New Track.

Of course, there are users who have overcome it with infinite affection, but basically, it was standard to use Uma Musume that had both mile and middle distance aptitude, and if it was difficult to modify even one of them, they were abandoned in most content such as Champions Meeting and Team Race.

This is directly related to the motivation to play the game. In my case, I tried to send Eishin Flash and Tamamo to 챔미, but I failed several times. I think Tamamo Cross fans, Meisho Doto, McQueen, and Cafe fans have all had similar experiences.

The fact that the game system is blocking you, not your own efforts,The sense of loss that you can't use your favorite character even after you pick themIt's inevitable that your motivation for the game will drop when you feel this.

▲ A scenario where there was a particularly strong tendency to use only the ones you use.

▲ Doto and Eishin, who came out as plague horses, but could not be raised as aces.

▣ Unreasonable store gacha

It's a game where how much support comes to the friendship training during training is determined by luck, but on top of that, the store items are also determined by luck, which is a really terrible structure.

No matter how well you do friendship training, if the store items don't come out, the training will fail, and vice versa, if you have good store items, but you fail in the training during the training camp or Twinkle Star, you can't see the high score.

You have to buy only what you need from the store, but if you don't get any barbecue parties in the beginning,If you only get one speed ankle before the training camp period, or if you don't get a 70 megaphoneYou can't help but get high blood pressure. Even if the essential items for condition control, such as sweets or vitals, cause trouble, the training will fail.

I doubt they'll remake it, but if they do, I'd like them to add a limited store mulligan (item list reset) function.

▲ Among my acquaintances, some people give up training immediately if they don't see barbecue on the first store list.

▲ Later, each store menu became a stress factor.

▣ The burden of gacha was also great

In addition, the fact that Uma Musume, who were focused on stamina growth, were treated coldly, and that the individual character scenarios were all cut, and that there were quite a few essential pickups, also added to the burden.

In particular, the burden of gacha was great, because you had to pay attention to guts cards, which had been discarded pickups until now, so many users had unexpected expenses, such as aiming for SR guts cards and going into pickups.

The reporter alsoIt was a season where I was dying in 챔미 throughout the scenario because I didn't have Narita Top Road + guts cards.Honestly, the two things that were too difficult were that I couldn't train the characters I wanted to train, and that it took almost an hour to train once.

▲ When everyone else was doing guts training, I was doing speed power training alone or enduring with distribution guts cards.

Don't worry newbies! Grand Live, which has been improved a lot

Fortunately, the above problems are improved in Grand Live. First of all, the play time has been reduced by returning to a training-oriented scenario, and it takes time to choose a song, but this is a godsend compared to New Track, where you had to go in and out of the store every turn and spend time thinking about when to use the items you had.

There is almost no burden on essential pickups. Honestly, if you only take care of the initial pickups, Light Hello and Agnes Tachyon, and if you want, the intelligence Tokai Teio, which is right behind, and Maruzensky / Fine Motion, which is the target of the rerun a month later, you can last for a year. In addition, there are many systematical parts that are considerate of beginners, and the fact that there is little room to worry about support card settings, and that you can see the cute dances of the Uma Musume you are training throughout the scenario is a standout.

▲ Was it because it was a scenario that came out right after New Track? It felt more than twice as easy.

▣ Convenience of training from deck simplification

There is still a gambling element in song picking and Light Hello gacha, but compared to New Track, the training difficulty has really decreased a lot.

Above all, the support cards used are 딱딱 determined by the scenario link, so unlike before, you don't have to wander around looking for support cards that you don't have, or do the confusing guts training in New Track. Even speed and intelligence cards + Light Hello are used to build the deck. Sometimes, you can do all the training with just one +@ card for a specific tournament.

In addition, Grand Live, which simply collects performance points and buys the necessary songs whenever you get points, is easier than New Track, where you had to check each turn and study when to use items to maximize efficiency. Even beginners who start by looking atOnly the in-game guide can do a smooth training.

In fact, in the Japanese server,I even received personal tutoring to study New TrackHowever, I tried training in Grand Live on the day of its release, and I easily adapted after studying the freezing concept in addition to breaking through the high score on the 2nd and 3rd day.

▶ If you only learn the song priority and freezing concept, this scenario is over! Go to the Grand Live song guide right away

▲ Just put in 2 types of speed power and Hello and you're done!

▣ The burden of gacha is not great

As I said at the beginning, there are not many essential pickups in Gran Live. If you get past the starting Light Hello & Agnes Tachyon double pickup, you won'tThere are no support cards that you must pick.

If I had to pick one, it would be Daiichi Ruby 1 breakthrough and the rerun of the past human rights-level support card, but if you already have it, you don't need to pick it at all, and if you're a new user, it's a good double pickup (ex: Maruzensky + Fine Motion / Mr. CB + Super Creek), so you can choose well and go in.

In my experience with Uma Musume,Narita Brian (New Costume), Daitaku HeliosThat's all you need. In addition, good characters to have are New Year Kitasan and Dia, and Cafe Alba Fujin and Santa Vodka, but these can be replaced with other characters.

And even in 챔미, the era of Christmas Oguri Cap continues, whether it's good or bad, so if you've secured Kluguri, the rest will work out somehow.

▲ If you take care of this pickup in this scenario, you don't have to worry for 6 months.

▣ The direction of high score training is clear

The high score in Gran Live is UF grade,You can tell whether it's a high score or not just by looking at the junior~first live. The stress of New Track, where I was worried about whether a high score would come out until the last turn, has been reduced.

In short, the timing of giving up training has become faster, and on the contrary, a clear standard for seeing a high score has been created, so it was easy to decide whether to quickly turn it into an inheritance or do a serious training.

▶ The cornerstone of UF rank training! Go to the Grand Live tips collection right away

▲ The essential song doesn't come out on time? Give up quickly and go to the next training.

▣ Skill settings have improved

Inheritance and tournament training have become easier through the common skills given by the scenario link. Light Hello's I'll go first, as well as the concentration, which is an essential skill for runners, the middle distance general-purpose skill Determination, and the team race lane magician, reduce the burden of training.

EspeciallyThe difficulty of runner training has decreased a lotThe point is that the runner combination has been known as a training that only the top truck users do in the scenarios so far, but in this scenario, even beginners can be competitive with just the distribution card Mihono Bourbon (Halloween). For similar reasons, inheritance has also become quite easy.

In addition, the point is that the power of the leading side is strengthened, and if you can adjust the stamina well, the difficulty of support card settings and training has also decreased significantly. Most of the combinations in the tournament will be Kluguri-oriented, but still, New Track is more breathable in that you can expand various options.

▲ The skills you receive through the link + Hello's skills are versatile, making training easier.

▣ Added live songs that are always great

Some users may not see this as an advantage, but I think it played a big role in improving the motivation to play the game.

There were actually users around me who quit during New Track but came back after seeing the visuals of Copano Ricky's Gaze On Me! and GIRLS' LEGEND U. In addition to the maximum number of 18 people, the performance and songs are all flawless, so it's still one of the courses that I must watch when I pick a new Uma Musume.

In addition, watching the Uma Musume learn cute choreography every time they do a live in the game was one of the new fun, so it's really different from New Track, where I ran all the events in skip mode.

▲ It may sound grandiose, but the level of emotion was really different.

▲ I will never forget the emotion I felt when I first saw the 18-person version.
