Hello, I will consolidate and add all the information I have shared so far in this post.
Only settings that have a definite effect when tested on 10 or more systems are included.
Settings vary depending on the environment you use, so please "read carefully" each item.
This article is based on Windows 11 desktop, nvidia GPU.

Windows settings
1-1 Game Mode
Path
Windows Search - Game Mode Settings - Game Mode
Description
Game Mode is a setting that provides more resources for games by reducing background processes and unnecessary system activity.
Additionally, Windows Update does not install drivers or send notifications.
Back in the Windows 10 days, when it first came out, it was a function that touched all the CPU and GPU schedulers, so performance could be degraded.
It was a feature that could be, but it's not anymore. Now there's not much difference whether you turn it on or off.
How to set
Doing a lot of things other than Lost Ark (watching YouTube..etc) -Turn off
Typical user -Turn on
1-2 Power Settings
Path
Windows Search - Edit Power Management Options - Power Options - High Performance
Description
If you haven't touched anything in the high-performance advanced settings, Processor Power Management - Maximum Processor State
is set to 100. If it is not set to 100, please set it.
If you set it to less than 100, the CPU boost clock will not work properly.
How to set
Maximum processor state- 100%
1-3 Windows Graphics Settings
Path
Windows Search - Graphics Settings - Change Default Graphics Settings
Description
1. Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
Hardware acceleration setting is a function that reduces the burden on the CPU to the GPU, but
This setting actually causes micro stuttering. Turning on this feature will increase the frame rate on computers where the GPU is idle.
It rises slightly, but sometimes the copy engine is activated and the copy process is transferred from system memory to graphics memory.
The usage rate of the engine peaks and causes stuttering.
And turning this on slows down loading in Lost Ark. Turn it on if you're curious.
2. Variable refresh rate
This option only appears when G-Sync (FreeSync) is enabled. Turn it on if you want to use G-Sync!
3. Optimization for windowed games
This setting does not completely remove the frame limit in windowed mode..
Windows 8 and above are designed to always go through dwm when playing in windowed mode, so triple buffering is forcibly applied. It cannot be completely resolved.
However, using this function will release the frame limit to some extent in windowed mode. Whether vertical sync and triple buffering are released or otherI'm not sure what settings are changed to. The official Windows documentation does not explain it properly. I will modify it when I find it. . .
However, you must set the default refresh rate to the highest available value in the Nvidia settings.
Turning on this feature changes the game to the filp model, allowing you to use G-Sync even in windowed mode.
It has higher performance, lower frame delay, and better memory management than the existing legacy model.
The same applies to full screen.
However, there is a conflict with Lost Ark's own vertical sync, so you must disable vertical sync in the Nvidia control panel (excluding G-Sync).
Otherwise, performance will decrease.
How to set
1. Hardware acceleration schedule -Turn off (recommended)
2. Variable refresh rate -Turn on (when G-Sync is enabled), PASS for those who don't have it
3. Optimization for windowed games -Turn on (recommended)
Caution) There is an Nvidia control panel setting that must be set together when optimization for windowed games is enabled.
Please follow me to the end!
2-1 Core Isolation (PASS for those who don't have it)
Path
Windows Search - Core Isolation
Description
This option is not necessary for general users.
Turning it off in games like Lost Ark that use the CPU well will increase the frame rate.
You can skip this if your CPU does not support virtualization or if you have disabled virtualization in CMOS.
You can skip it if you can't search and use it.
How to set
Memory Integrity -Turn off
2-2 VMP (PASS for those who don't have it)
Path
Windows Search - Turn Windows Features on/off - Virtual Machine Platform
Description
Disables the virtual machine platform. This also has an effect.
How to set
Virtual Machine Platform -Uncheck
3-1 Device Manager
Path
Windows Search - Device Manager - Sound, video and game controllers and Audio inputs and outputs
Description
Turning off HDMI-related high definition audio devices has been shown to reduce stuttering in most systems.
There is a definite feeling in the village. Try it in Bern and Kalinarie
How to set
All unused audio devices -Disable
Caution) Please disable only the audio you are not using. If you set the audio you are using to disabled
You won't be able to hear the sound.
Nvidia control panel settings
1. Basic settings for all users
Path
Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings - Global Settings
Description
Since global settings affect all games, only one setting is set.
Increasing the shader cache size is effective in poorly optimized games, so set it.
In fact, you can't use them all even if you leave them at the default value.
How to set
Shader Cache Size -10GB (recommended)
Don't touch the rest.
2. General user settings
Path
Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings - Program Settings - Lost Ark
Lost Ark default installation path:C:Program Files(x86)/Smilegate/Games/LOSTARK/Binaries/Win64
Description
Do not touch the parts that follow the global settings, and only modify what is necessary.
Turning off vertical sync helps reduce stuttering and is a feature designed to prevent tearing (screen tearing).
Quarter-view games like Lost Ark don't have tearing, but they are less common than other first-person games, and vertical sync
You lose more than you gain by turning it on.
Low latency mode reduces input lag by arbitrarily limiting GPU usage, so the GPU is constantly used at 90 percent or more.
Frame rate drops on old computers.
Maximum frame rate works properly in full screen, but in windowed mode, it exceeds your monitor's refresh rate.
It cannot be limited to the top. Even if you limit it to 160FPS on a 144 monitor, it will be limited to 144.
How to set
Vertical Sync -Turn off
Preferred refresh rate- Highest available
Low Latency Mode -Turn off (for those who value every frame)
Turn on (for those who want to get even a little more responsiveness)
Power management mode -Prefer maximum performance
Maximum frame rate -59(60hz), 142(144hz), 162(165hz), 235(240hz)
Above frameIf the stuttering gets worse after setting it to , it's because the frame fluctuation range has increased.
Please lower the frame limit and use it.
Turn off (I don't know anything about tearing stuttering and I want to get frames)
3. G-Sync user settings
Path
Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings - Program Settings - Lost Ark
Lost Ark default installation path:C:Program Files(x86)/Smilegate/Games/LOSTARK/Binaries/Win64
Description
It works normally even in windowed mode, and the frame rate is the most stable and clean.
I also use G-Sync enabled in windowed mode.
Since it is a function that adjusts the refresh rate according to the game frame rate, the mouse appears to be cut off when the frame rate drops.
If you feel uncomfortable or have any problems, please do not use G-Sync.
How to set
G-Sync activation -Enable for windowed and full screen mode
Monitor technology- G-Sync compatible
Vertical Sync -Turn on (stable frame rate while tolerating some stuttering)
Turn off (minimize stuttering)
Low Latency Mode -Turn off (when you want to get the maximum frame rate)
Turn on (less input lag with a slight frame loss)
Ultra (when vertical sync is enabled)
Power management mode -Prefer maximum performance
Maximum frame rate- 58(60hz), 142(144hz), 162(165hz), 235(240hz)
Vertical sync + low latency mode ultra setting frame limit X
Above frameIf the stuttering gets worse after setting it to , it's because the frame fluctuation range has increased.
Please lower the frame limit and use it.
Extra, PhysX
In the first place, almost all games that support PhysX mostly utilize the CPU.
Lost Ark is the same, and even if you change this to GPU, it won't change to GPU. Just leave it on automatic.
If you are suspicious, set PhysX to your graphics card and turn on the PhysX indicator in the upper left corner.
It is unconditionally caught by the CPU.
In-game settings
Shadows and indirect shadows have a big impact on performance.
Adjust and use these two settings as much as possible.
I just raise everything and use it
02/21 Update)
Maximum fps setting -In-game use x
Background fps limit - as much as you want to limit60 or less recommended
(It's also in the Nvidia settings, but it doesn't work in windowed mode)
Shadow -High~Medium (recommended)
Indirect shadow -Low~Off (recommended)
This is how hard I have optimized to play Lost Ark.
Caseroth Raid Echidna is coming out soon, so let's run in a pleasant environment!
If it was helpful, please recommend it
I want to get administrator certification once.
Thank you for the administrator certification!
As an aside, I've been putting off posting an estimate..
It's good to see this article together
I'll be back soon!
Bye.
