Gen.G 'Lehends-Canyon' after defeating T1: "We'll make sure to be the ones laughing in the end"

Gen.G Esports defeated T1 2-0 in the second round of the '2024 LoL Champions Korea (LCK)' Spring Split regular season, held at LoL Park in Jongno on the 9th, defeating T1 again following their victory in the first round. Both teams had been in great form recently with 12 wins and 1 loss, making it a highly anticipated match, but the game was a dominant victory for Gen.G.

After the match, 'Lehends' Son Si-woo and 'Canyon' Kim Geon-bu, who were selected as POG, shared their thoughts on the victory. 'Lehends' Son Si-woo said, "It was a match to determine first place, so I'm happy that we won and that we seem to be doing well." And 'Canyon' Kim Geon-bu said, "I thought it was important to manage my condition because it was a very important game, so I went to bed early, and thanks to that, my condition was good, so I think we won."

With today's victory, Gen.G recorded a 7-game winning streak against T1. 'Lehends' said, "I think we're doing well, and I think we've won about half of it. I feel good." And when asked about his thoughts after seeing the opponent's Jayce and LeBlanc, 'Canyon' explained about the ban-pick situation, saying, "I thought Jayce would be viable enough after the buff, but I didn't expect LeBlanc."

Finally, they finished the interview by talking about their resolutions for the second round. 'Canyon' said, "There are not many games left in the second round, but I will try to win all the remaining games. Thank you to the fans who always support us," and 'Lehends' also said, "We won 2:0 today, but I will focus on every game and try to laugh at the end. And 'Kiin' said he would make a promise if we won 2:0 today, so I'm looking forward to it."
