Gen.G's mid laner 'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon, who secured first place with a record of 17 wins and 1 loss after winning all matches in the second round of the 2024 LCK Spring Regular League, was honored with the Regular Season MVP, Player Of the Split, and All-LCK First Team awards.
League of Legends Champions Korea (CEO, Oh Sang-heon, www.lolesports.com, hereinafter 'LCK'), which hosts the Korean professional league of 'League of Legends (LoL)' esports, announced the winners of the 2024 LCK Spring Awards, including the All-LCK Team, Regular Season MVP, and Player of the Split, on Tuesday the 26th.
The LCK selects the All-LCK First Team, Second Team, Third Team, Regular Season MVP, and Player Of the Split through voting by officials at the end of the regular season.
The winners of the 2024 LCK Spring Awards were selected through voting by approximately 40 individuals, including coaches and representatives from each team, domestic and international casters, analysis desk members, and members of the press.
The 2024 LCK Spring Split All-LCK First Team includes Gen.G's top laner 'Kiin' Kim Ki-in, jungler 'Canyon' Kim Geon-bu, mid laner 'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon, AD carry 'Peyz' Kim Su-hwan, and T1's support 'Keria' Ryu Min-seok. Gen.G finished the regular league with an undefeated record in the second round, except for one loss to KT Rolster in the first round of this Spring Regular League.
The All-LCK Second Team includes T1's top laner 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je, jungler 'Oner' Moon Hyeon-joon, mid laner 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok, Hanwha Life Esports' AD carry 'Viper' Park Do-hyeon, and Gen.G's support 'Lehends' Son Si-woo.
The Third Team includes Hanwha Life Esports' top laner 'Doran' Choi Hyeon-joon, 'Peanut' Han Wang-ho and 'Zeka' Kim Geon-woo from the same team, T1's AD carry 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyung, and Hanwha Life Esports' support 'Delight' Yoo Hwan-joong. Each player selected for the All-LCK Team will receive 2 million won.
Gen.G's mid laner 'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon, who was selected for the All-LCK First Team, took first place with 1,300 Player Of the Game (POG) points, which are awarded in each game through voting by domestic and international commentators, observers, and the press. The player with the most POG points is selected as the Player of the Split and receives a prize of 2 million won.
Jeong Ji-hoon also won the Regular Season MVP award, earning the 'Triple Crown' title. The Regular Season MVP receives a prize of 5 million won.
Meanwhile, 2024 LCK Spring will enter the Woori Bank 2024 LCK Spring Playoffs starting with the match between Hanwha Life Esports and Kwangdong Freecs on the 30th (Sat). The double-elimination playoffs will conclude with the final qualifying match on April 13th (Sat) and the grand final on April 14th (Sun). The final qualifying match and the grand final will be held at the KSPO Dome, located in Olympic Park in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
