Harvest Factory 'Lord of the Rings' Dual-Valley

The Shire, the small village of hobbits that marked the beginning of the Middle-earth saga. What would the peaceful Shire, without grand adventures, look like? Private Division has revealed gameplay footage of the life simulation 'Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game'.

Weta Workshop's new title, '테일즈 오브 더 샤이어', as the name suggests, is set in the riverside village of Bywater in the Shire. However, while Bywater was the setting for fierce battles in the novel, the life simulation genre depicts its usual peaceful and lyrical appearance.

The first official video released also boasts a pastoral atmosphere with warm sunlight, lush grass, and a babbling brook. In particular, the unique 3D graphics vividly portray the free-spirited hobbits.

In the game, Bywater is depicted as a region that has not yet been officially recognized as a town from Hobbiton. As such, it is quiet and less developed, so the player must step in to grow the town and make it a vibrant place. Rather than competitive elements, relaxed gameplay such as cultivating fields, fishing, gathering herbs, and cooking will be emphasized.

In particular, the developers emphasized housing where you can create the cozy space you want with various furniture, cooking using numerous ingredients and seasonal crops, and exploration to travel around the Shire outside of Bywater, discover treasures, or experience stories.

'테일즈 오브 더 샤이어' is known to officially support Korean, and is scheduled to be released on Steam and consoles in 2024.
