Collabs, merch, and even a mini-fest, it's 'Blue Archive's 2.5 Year Anniversary'!

Nexon's 'Blue Archive' held a special live broadcast on its official YouTube channel to commemorate the 2.5th anniversary of its global launch. The live broadcast, which took place on April 26, featured Nexon Games Executive Producer Kim Yong-ha, who shared various stories about 'Blue Archive'.

 

 

First, the broadcast introduced a special collaboration and main story update that will take place from April 30th, and looked back on past updates and shared various development anecdotes, adding more meaning to the 'Blue Archive' world. In addition, it announced various offline events and special merchandise befitting the 2.5th anniversary, expressing its continued commitment to expanding the IP.

 

 

A Certain Scientific Railgun T Collaboration Coming to Blue Archive

 

First, the collaboration with the popular animation 'A Certain Scientific Railgun T', which was announced through official social media, will be updated on April 30th. 'A Certain Scientific Railgun T' is an animation about the daily lives of students at the prestigious Tokiwadai Middle School in the giant 'Academy City'. Through this collaboration, you will be able to see the various ups and downs experienced by the main characters who are loved in the original work, such as 'Misaka Mikoto' and 'Shokuhou Misaki', as they appear in the 'Blue Archive' world.

 

 

 

Along with this, a new main story will also welcome users. 'Blue Archive' Main Story Vol.5 'Hyakkiyako' is set in 'Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy', and the club 'Hyakkiyako Dispute Resolution Committee', which mediates various disputes within the academy, takes center stage. The first chapter, 'Like a Bud Hoping to Bloom', is scheduled to be updated on May 14th, and tells the story of the teacher and club members who set out to restore the club to its original form as the Dispute Resolution Committee faces the crisis of being abolished due to the absence of the chairman for some reason.

 

 

A new episode of the developer commentary video, which introduces various behind-the-scenes stories of 'Blue Archive' development and becomes a hot topic among users every time, has also been released.

 

This video introduces the development intentions and directions of Main Story Vol. 4 'Rabbit of Caerbannog' Chapter 2 'We Were RABBITs!' and two event stories that were updated last December. As the developers continue to expand the 'Blue Archive' IP, a collaboration with GS25 convenience stores, featuring the 'RABBIT Squad' students, has been announced. The collaboration will be available at GS25 stores nationwide from May 3rd to July 31st, and when purchasing products, you can acquire coupons that can be used in 'Blue Archive', as well as a total of 71 types of Ddibudibu seals with unique images of 'Blue Archive' students.

 

Executive Producer Kim Yong-ha also showed fans various sides of himself by directly tasting a type of bread on this day.

 

 

 

The solo offline event 'Blue Archive 2.5th Anniversary Festival' is also coming back after about a year. The event will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan on May 18th and 19th, and will provide various attractions such as user-created fan-made goods and special exhibition spaces to create a place for exchange between 'Blue Archive' and its users. In particular, at the end of the broadcast, a video of the 'Archive Band' members practicing again ahead of the 2.5th anniversary festival was released.

Arona and Plana, Kim Haru Voice Actor...2.5th Anniversary Celebration

 

Several surprise guests also appeared during the live broadcast. First, 'Arona' and 'Plana' reappeared following the special rap battle video released on April 1st, showing off their unique cuteness and delivering greetings to users in Korean. In addition, Kim Haru, the voice actor for 'Arona' and 'Plana' in Korean, made a surprise appearance on stage to greet 'Blue Archive' users and shared behind-the-scenes stories from the voice recording process, raising expectations for the Korean dubbing that will be applied in the future.
