For adventurers who mainly enjoy cooking or alchemy, preparing ingredients is the first step. If someone who likes cooking wants to make roasted bird, they need to prepare chicken or bird meat, and if someone who likes alchemy wants to make elixirs, they need to prepare animal blood. Animal blood, meat, fish, fruits, flowers, etc. can be substituted with other items even if they are not the original ingredients. For example, meat and blood can be matched only with the same icon.

However, it is difficult to distinguish whether flowers, seafood, vegetables, and fruits are substitutes because the icons are different. Even if they are the same flower, some flowers can be used for alchemy and some cannot, which can cause difficulties in the crafting process. Therefore, we have compiled a list of cooking/alchemy substitutes, including items added after the Land of the Morning Light.

Fish caught through fishing belong to the fish category. They are used in fried fish, steamed fish, fish soup, etc. You must obtain them through direct fishing.

Dried fish made by 'drying (processing)' fish is processed fish. Processed fish can be identified by the dried modifier in front of the fish name obtained by fishing. Processed fish can be easily obtained through island nodes.

Squid, octopus, crab, jellyfish, shellfish, seahorse, starfish, turtle, crayfish, and cuttlefish obtained through fishing are included.

Seafood that has been dried by 'drying (processing)' seafood. You can mainly obtain dried octopus from the fish drying areas of Landis Island, Teyamal Island, Albresa Island, and Baeza Island.

Wheat, barley, potato, sweet potato, corn, and rice are included in grains. Morning Light rice is also included in grains. Potatoes are commonly used, and potatoes can be obtained through nodes at Loggia Farm, Batali Farm, Pinto Farm, and Telimor Farm.

Pumpkin, olive, tomato, paprika (850 won), cabbage, and napa cabbage are included in vegetables. Pumpkins can be easily obtained through the Alejandro Farm node next to Heidel City, and napa cabbage can be supplied through the Nopsae Byeotgol Village node in the Land of the Morning Light. If you want to buy it with money, the fruit merchant sells paprika for 850 won, so you can buy paprika.

A total of 10 types: grapes, strawberries, apples, cherries, pears, bananas, pineapples, yuja, wild strawberries, and persimmons. Wild strawberries can be obtained through the Hanjitgol and Fox Pass nodes in the Land of the Morning Light. Persimmons are only sold by fruit merchants in the Land of the Morning Light and cost 950 won. It's more expensive than strawberries. Therefore, if you want to buy fruit substitutes with money, strawberries sold by fruit merchants for 700 won are a good choice.

Meat that can be obtained by slaughtering animals. Only meat classified with the same icon is considered the same type. Deer meat, sheep meat, fox meat, rhinoceros meat, pork, beef, raccoon meat, weasel meat, bear meat, wolf meat, gazelle meat, goat meat, Kangchi meat, and rabbit meat are included.

Reptile meat is easily distinguished by its icon. Dinosaur meat, lizard meat, worm meat, Waragon meat, and Cheetah Dragon meat are included.

If you're not in a hurry, get chicken through nodes. It is mainly obtained from Batali Farm and Pinto Farm. There are a total of 4 types of bird meat: Cuckoo bird meat, flamingo meat, chicken, and bird meat. Bird meat can be obtained by slaughtering hunted birds.

There are a total of 3 types of jerky. Strongly flavored jerky is obtained by drying wolf, fox, bear, and weasel meat. Well-dried jerky can be obtained by drying snake, sheep, flamingo, lizard, raccoon, and cuckoo bird meat. Rare jerky comes from drying deer, dinosaur, lion, cow, pig, Waragon, rhinoceros, Cheetah Dragon, gazelle, scorpion, and worm meat.

Rose, tulip, and sunflower are included. It is best to collect tulips from the tulip fields near the northern wheat farm in Calpheon. Flowers from the Land of the Morning Light have been added, but they are not currently related to alchemy recipes. Be careful as they are not substitutes.

If you want to substitute water, there are only 2 types: cooking mineral water and purified water.

You can obtain wild honeycombs by shooting beehives on trees with a matchlock, and edible honey by running the edible honey node at Alejandro Farm and Zvier Highlands. Honey is classified into 2 types in total.

Blood is classified into 4 types and is applied as the same type of blood according to the icon. Sheep blood, deer blood, cow blood, pig blood, Waragon blood, llama blood, and goat blood are one group, troll blood, ogre blood, bear blood, lion blood, yak blood, and dinosaur blood are one group, worm blood, cuckoo bird blood, bat blood, lizard blood, and cobra blood are one group, rhinoceros blood, wolf blood, Cheetah Dragon blood, and flamingo blood are one group.
