Split 1 ends, Corki with Package Delivery disappears

On Wednesday, May 15th, Patch 14.10 was applied to the League of Legends Korean server. In this patch, the champion Corki is significantly changed. The Package, which was a major part of him, has been removed, and he is being changed to be used as a bottom lane marksman. Also, Ranked Split 1 has ended. Finally, during this patch period, 4 new Faerie Court skins and the Victorious Kog'Maw skin will be released.

14.10 Balance Changes

First, Corki's changes. Corki's Package has been removed, so he can no longer use 'Special Delivery'. Instead, the passive effect is changed from 20% physical, 80% magic damage to 100% physical, 15% true damage.

In addition, all stats and skills have been changed. Base attack damage (61 → 55), health growth (103 → 100), and armor growth (4.7 → 4.5) are decreased, but base health (610 → 640), base armor (28 → 30), and attack speed (0.638 → 0.644) are increased.

▲ Corki's Package is now a memory

Phosphorus Bomb (Q) has its base damage reduced by 5~25, but the scaling (bonus AD 70%, AP 50% → bonus AD 120%, AP 70%) has greatly increased. The cooldown has also been changed from 8 seconds to 9~7 seconds, making it particularly powerful in the late game.

Gatling Gun (E) has been changed from physical/magic damage to 100% physical damage. The damage has been reduced, but the cooldown has been shortened from 16 → 12 seconds, and the armor/magic resistance reduction effect has also been strengthened from 8/11/14/17/20 → 12/15/18/21/24, and the maximum debuff effect is achieved much faster (8 hits, 2 seconds → 4 hits, 1 second).

Finally, Missile Barrage (R) has had its AP scaling removed and other damage increased. However, the maximum number of missiles stored has been reduced from 7 → 4, and the recharge time has also greatly increased from 12/11/10 → 20. Instead, basic attacks against champions now reduce the charge time by 2~4 seconds depending on critical strike chance, strengthening the effectiveness of crit builds.

This change encourages the use of bottom lane marksman Corki as well as mid Corki. It is expected that there will be changes in Corki's position and build in the future.

▲ Changes that empower bot lane ADC Corki! What will change in Corki's build and position?

Skarner is receiving several changes again. The most noticeable change is Impale (R). Impale no longer grants Unstoppable during the cast time. Instead, the skill cast time has been slightly shortened from 0.75 → 0.65, and other skills can be queued during the Impale cast time. (Q-E still cannot be used while Impaling)

Fracture/Upheaval (Q) has its bonus health scaling reduced from 5% → 4%, and the maximum health-based damage to monsters is reduced from 150~450 → 150~350. Instead, the mana cost is strengthened from 30~50 → 30, and the damage to structures is strengthened from 50% → 100%. Meanwhile, Ixtali's Fury (E) also reduces its maximum health scaling from 10% → 8%, slightly reducing its overall power.

14.10 System Changes

League of Legends Season 14 Split 1 has ended and Split 2 is starting. Split 2 is scheduled to begin at noon on May 15th, Korean time, and players will be rewarded based on their rank tier or split points recorded in Split 1.

There are many changes to items as well. Corrupting Potion, Chain of Loathing, Boots of Mobility, Stormrazor, Kircheis Shard have been removed, and Darkfire Torch, Fate's Favor, Overlord's Bloodmail, Symbiotic Soles - United Souls, Navori Flickerblade (Navori Quickblades), Zephyr, and Scout's Slingshot have been added.

Darkfire Torch is an item that provides high AP and mana that can burn enemies to deal additional damage. Overlord's Bloodmail is an item that converts health into damage, increasing attack damage based on bonus health. Symbiotic Soles, which replace Boots of Mobility, enhance the recall effect and are an evolving item that upgrades to United Souls based on distance traveled.

In addition, the Spellblade effect has been removed from Essence Reaver, and the critical strike chance of Kraken Slayer - Statikk Shiv has been removed, and the attack damage of Phantom Dancer - Rapid Firecannon has been removed, so it is necessary to review the item build of your main champion.

▲ Not only are new items added, but existing items are also greatly changed

Summoner Spells should also be reviewed. Ghost is considered a very influential Summoner Spell and has been directly nerfed. Cooldown 210 → 240, duration reduced from 15 seconds → 10 seconds. Cleanse and Exhaust also have their cooldown increased from 210 → 240. Instead, Cleanse's tenacity effect is increased from 65% for 3 seconds → 75% for 3 seconds, and Exhaust's slow is increased from 30% → 40%.

Barrier and Heal are buffs. Barrier's duration is increased from 2 seconds → 2.5 seconds, and the shield absorption is also increased from 105~411 → 120~480. Heal's range has been changed from 826 based on the champion's end to 900 based on the champion's center.

▲ Ghost, which was evaluated as a very influential Summoner Spell, has had its cooldown and duration nerfed.

Predator, Ingenious Hunter, Lethal Tempo, Overheal, Legend: Tenacity, Future's Market, and Minion Dematerializer runes are removed. With the removal of runes that were used frequently, such as Lethal Tempo, changes to champion builds are inevitable.

Meanwhile, new runes such as Life Drain (restores 2~17 health when killing a target), Legend: Haste (increases skill haste by 1.5 per stack), Refund (refunds 6% gold when purchasing a legendary item), Versatile (gains stacks for each different stat gained from items, increases skill haste by 1 per stack. Gains 10 adaptive force at 5 stacks, and 25 adaptive force at 10 stacks) have appeared.

▲ Lethal Tempo and Predator have been removed, and new runes that require build optimization have appeared.

14.10 Upcoming Skins

During this patch period, 4 Faerie Court series skins and the Victorious Kog'Maw skin given as a ranked reward will be released. The Victorious Kog'Maw skin is awarded based on ranked split points. 1000 points in the Iron~Silver range, and 80 points or more in Gold or higher will earn you the Victorious Kog'Maw skin.

The Faerie Court skin, which features bright and beautiful colors and a dreamy design, adds 4 champions: Lux, Soraka, Lillia, and Tristana. The skins are receiving positive reviews from users for their colors that bring out each character's individuality without unifying them with a specific color, and for their designs that evoke fairies.
