Echo farming where "main stat, substat" are important! An easy explanation (how to understand options and farm)
Why is Echo farming considered end-game content in Wuthering Waves, and how do you even do it? It's tough, right?
Let me help you understand the basics of Echo main stats and substats!!
✅ Main Stats: 2 (1 random stat + 1 fixed stat)
The first step in optimizing your Echoes during Echo farming is to farm for the 1 random stat that's useful for you! The 2nd stat is fixed depending on the Echo's cost and rarity, so you don't need to worry about it!!
✅ Substats: Granted from Echo 3-Star and up
If your Echo is 3-Star or higher, you can level it up through growth and then use "Optimize" to grant random substats.
All substats are determined randomly, so you need to roll 5 stats that are suitable for your Resonator.
But the chance of rolling 5 desired stats is very low. That's why Echo farming is end-game content!!
✅ Substat Acquisition Process: Echo Level Up → Optimize
✅ Substats can be granted from Echo 3-Star and up (⭐3: 3 stats, ⭐4: 4 stats, ⭐5: 5 stats)
To get substats randomly, the Echo's rarity must be at least 3-Star, and the number of substats increases as the rarity increases.
You can get 5-Star Echoes from Data Station level 15, but it's recommended to start farming 5-Star Echoes in earnest from level 17. The acquisition rate is 50% at level 15, but 80% at level 17.

▲ From Data Station level 17, the 5-Star absorption rate is 50%, making it easier.
✅ Substat Granting Materials: Different Tuners for each Echo rarity
Since the types of Tuners are different, if you don't have enough 5-Star Tuners, it's okay to optimize and equip 4-Star Echoes!
If you lack higher-tier Tuners, try converting lower-tier Tuners to higher-tier ones at the Synthesis Bench located at 11 o'clock in Jinzhou!
✅ Optimization (Echo Farming) Process
1. Reach Data Station level 15 (It is recommended to start farming Echoes in earnest from level 17)
2. Acquire a 5-Star Echo
3. Repeatedly farm until the desired main stat 1st option appears
4. Echo Level Up
5. Optimize with Tuners to randomly acquire substats
6. Repeat until you get the desired main stat 1st option + 5 substats
