A new 'VR Kanojo' is coming in the winter of 2024
The developer who created the adult VR game 'VR Kanojo' has teased a completely new VR title. The new title is 'VR Kanojo (VRな彼女, VR-Kanojo)'.
New company ILLUMINATION Inc. announced today (27th) the production of their new title 'VR Kanojo', revealing their official website. ILLUMINATION is a Japanese developer with the vision of 'unseen light and unknown emotion,' co-founded by 'Mumu,' who has been active in the virtual YouTuber industry for a long time, and 'Yunayuna,' the former Illusion producer, as the vice president.
Yunayuna, who is once again the general producer for the new title 'VR Kanojo,' introduced the reason for developing this title on the website. After the end of Illusion's activities in July 2023, they received many messages of support from users saying, 'I hope you will make VR Kanojo again,' and also received messages of encouragement from other people who worked on the previous game and former Illusion executives.
He said, "VR Kanojo is not a sequel to the previous game, but a new challenge," and revealed that this new game is being produced with the goal of 'whether it is possible to surpass the previous game.' He then expressed his hope that more VR users will be able to experience VR Kanojo, and conveyed his ambition to make it 'an even cuter and more accessible title'.
The new 'VR Kanojo' is a simulation game where you can live with a new female protagonist, 'Yuhi Sakura,' and have various experiences as vivid as reality. In the game, you can experience various situations such as eating cake with Sakura who came to your room, watching a movie, and taking a bath together. For those who feel that a sweet lover experience is somewhat lacking, adult content will be included as in the previous 'VR Kanojo'.
In addition, the game is expected to provide a visual experience where you can freely observe what you want to see while wearing a VR HMD, and a tactile experience using the vibration of the VR controller. ILLUMINATION introduces that even those who have never experienced VR can enjoy the world with simple controls, and experience a more advanced VR expression by freely moving around in the VR space.
ILLUMINATION plans to conduct crowdfunding prior to the release of VR Kanojo. Limited edition special costumes, special messages from characters, and original goods will be added through crowdfunding. ILLUMINATION's CEO Mumu said that he wants to convey surprise and emotion to many people by making use of his experience in the VR and virtual YouTuber world, and asked for support for their first step 'VR Kanojo,' which is scheduled to be released within the year.
'VR Kanojo' is scheduled to be released simultaneously worldwide on Steam in the winter of 2024. Currently, the Steam page does not indicate Korean language support, but ILLUMINATION has promised Korean subtitle support through a notice. You can also see the Korean message '빨리 당신을 보고 싶어요.' (I want to see you soon.) on the main image of the official website. Audio will only support Japanese.
