Information on the Ark passive evolution has been released overseas, and I was curious about the efficiency of Blunt Thorns, so I calculated it.Since there is no information on the exact damage calculation formula, I calculated it considering only crit chance and crit damage.
**If evolution type damage is not calculated as a separate multiplicative operation, the article below is meaningless**
I was bored, so I calculated it before the exact information came out, so I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it for reference.
The calculation assumptions are as follows.
1. Evolution type damage is calculated as a separate damage amount and is multiplied to the final damage.
- A method of multiplying the final damage by (1 + evolution type damage/100)
2. This calculation does not consider any damage-related values other than critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and evolution type damage.
3.Compared in an environment of 80~130% critical hit chance and 200~300% critical hit damage.
4. Each trait was compared based on level 2.
5. Sonic Breakthrough was calculated as 22% based on 140% attack/movement speed.

It seems right to calculate Sonic Breakthrough as exactly 8% + (attack speed increase 40 + movement speed increase 40) * 0.1% = 16% when attack/movement speed is 140%.
Therefore, Sonic Breakthrough is
Attack/Movement Speed 140% = 16%
Attack/Movement Speed 150% = 20%
Attack/Movement Speed 160% = 24%

The calculation formula used is as follows.

1. When the total evolution type damage obtained in 2~3T is 30%
Extinction classes are expected to take a hit in 3T and gain 20~30% evolution type damage in 2T.

It is calculated as 20% at 150% attack/movement speed and 24% at 160% attack/movement speed.
Calculated based on when 155% attack/movement speed can be achieved.

If you get 30% evolution type damage in 2~3T,
It can be confirmed that Blunt Thorns becomes more efficient than Sonic Breakthrough only when the critical hit chance exceeds 92~101%.
Even if the critical hit damage exceeds 260%, the average critical hit chance must exceed 100% to show better efficiency than Sonic Breakthrough.
If you have a skill with high critical hit damage or are a class that uses Keen Blunt Weapon, you must exceed 100% constant crit chance including synergy to achieve higher efficiency than Sonic Breakthrough with Blunt Thorns.
2. When the total evolution type damage obtained in 2~3T is 50%
I calculated how the efficiency changes when selecting Destruction Cannon, Infinite Power, Timing Domination, etc. instead of One Hit in 3T and the total evolution type damage is high.
Since the increase in evolution type damage decreases compared to 30%, the efficiency of Blunt Thorns is expected to decrease further.
Let's look at how much it decreases numerically.
2.1 Infighting (18%) vs. Blunt Thorns

When 2~3T evolution type damage is 30%,Blunt Thorns became better from the 85~90% crit chance section,
If you already have 50%, the crit chance must exceed 86~99% depending on the critical hit damage to be better than Infighting.
As a special note, when looking at the 260~280% critical hit damage section
It can be confirmed that the amount of crit chance required for Blunt Thorns to be better increases rapidly from 90~97% as the critical hit damage increases.
2.2 Sonic Breakthrough (22%) vs. Blunt Thorns

If you get 30% evolution type damage in 2~3T,The boundary was 92~101% critical hit chance
It can be confirmed that the boundary is 96~102% crit chance when 50% is obtained.
If you get a lot of evolution type damage in 2~3T, it seems quite difficult to use Blunt Thorns rather than Sonic Breakthrough even if the critical hit damage is low.
