'SANABI' Wins Best Action Adventure Game at Chinese Indie Game Development Awards
Neowiz (co-CEOs Kim Seung-cheol, Bae Tae-geun) announced on the 29th that its popular indie game 'SANABI' won the 'Best Action Adventure Game' award at the '2024 Indie Game Development Awards' in China.
The '2024 Indie Game Development Awards' is an awards ceremony held by China's largest game show 'ChinaJoy 2024' and 'Game Connection' at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. On the 27th, it selected various games from around the world that achieved encouraging results in a total of 15 categories, including △Game of the Year, △Best Indie Game, and △Best Storytelling.
SANABI won this award for its originality and gameplay, including a mysterious story and tearful ending in a journey for revenge for his daughter, and spectacular chain arm action.
Yoo Seung-hyun, CEO of SANABI developer Wonder Potion, said, "We were able to win a meaningful award thanks to the interest and love from users." He added, "We will not lose our initial intentions and will continue to create more wonderful games in the future."
Meanwhile, Neowiz plans to continue targeting the global game market with its popular indie games. 'Hello, Seoul: Itaewon' which is gathering expectations even before its release, will participate in 'Gamescom 2024' held in Germany in August. The game will be exhibited at the 'Indie Arena Booth' in the venue.
