High refresh rate monitor, but frame rate halved in windowed mode - how to fix it
Only applies to Windows 11
My monitor is 180hz and my PC specs allow for over 200 frames in PUBG, but when I move the cursor in Maple, it feels like the frame rate is low.
After checking the frame rate, it was fixed at 75 frames.
Turning off VSync gives a high frame rate, but the tearing makes it even more laggy.
When I was using Windows 10, there were no problems, but something felt off, so after looking into it,
Turning off 'Variable refresh rate' in Windows 11 fixed it to 180hz even with VSync on.
How to access it:Settings - Display - Graphics - Advanced display settings - Variable refresh rate

Also, turn on 'Optimizations for windowed games' to minimize the frame rate drop in windowed mode compared to full screen.
