A new world in Tower of Fantasy, 'Savior From Above' is now open
Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio, a subsidiary of Perfect World Games, have released the 3.0 version 'Nine Regions Above the Sky' update for the SF open-world RPG 'Tower of Fantasy' today (27th).
The highlight of this update is the new area 'Nine Regions'. Nine Regions is a new exploration area that captures the beauty of the Orient, and can be seen as a new challenge for Tower of Fantasy, which previously introduced exploration areas with unique backgrounds through the cyberpunk area 'Mirror City' and the underwater area 'Inners'.
'Rizhu', which belongs to Nine Regions, is the first area you will encounter after the 3.0 update, and it is characterized by providing visual enjoyment with its red maple leaves, fog-covered mountains, and apocalyptic art design that blends naturally into them. It not only differentiates itself from other previous areas in terms of regional design, but also provides interesting exploration content through the region's unique high mountains and new objects.
In version 3.0, several exploration functions that support more interesting open-world exploration have also been newly added. Users can use the new energy gear 'Gust Step' to freely run across high mountains and cliffs as if they were on flat ground. The new transportation, 'Dragonfly Boat', will also help explore the Rizhu area.
The new object 'Vermilion Bird Statue' not only loads information about the surrounding map, but also provides additional combat buff effects depending on the level unlock. 'Star Stele' is characterized by providing riddle content that can be enjoyed at the same time as raising the exploration level of the area. In addition, using the 'Leyline Compass' to acquire hidden Nine Regions energy, etc., interacting with various objects that can be found in the new area is also expected to be a source of enjoyment.
What users are most looking forward to in Tower of Fantasy's updates is the 'Main Story'. In the 3.0 update, the main story that allows you to approach the secrets of Nine Regions, which is full of mysterious atmosphere, and various sub-quests that increase understanding of the culture and characters of the new area have been added.
You can also meet a new Simulacrum. The new Simulacrum Liu Huo, called 'Rizhu's Flame', is characterized by wearing a red garnet-colored costume and using the power of the Vermilion Bird Statue to inflict powerful damage on enemies.
Nine Regions' unique ecosystem has become a haven for mysterious creatures, where you can also meet the new boss monster 'Zhu Yan'. Zhu Yan is not an easy enemy to defeat alone, so be sure to be fully prepared before subjugation.
Meanwhile, Tower of Fantasy announced the release of the PS version through the 'PlayStation Showcase 2023'. Pre-orders for the PS version Premium Edition are currently underway, and it will be officially released through the PS Store on August 8th.
