New member Katsuragi Ace has joined the Uma Musume Grand Escape Squad. Her aptitude is suitable for both leading and front-running, but since all her skills are specialized for leading, there will be no chance to see her in other roles.

In terms of distance, she specializes in middle distance, specifically the 2,400m Tokyo track, and can show potential in short distances as well. She also has some aptitude for long distances, but her skill structure doesn't give her much advantage, and there are many tracks where back-runners are strong, so she is not used.

She is used as a part to create a 2-leader + leader combination, and is sometimes put in place of Daitaku Helios, who is awkward at middle distances. However, her absolute performance is ambiguous, so she is not a must-have Uma Musume.

The basic character design was made for the middle distance 2,400m Japan Cup track. The difference is that even if it's not the Japan Cup, the performance of her unique skill is not so dramatically different, so it can be used as a Grand Escape in any distance. In other words, the basic training itself is middle distance, but due to the nature of the Grand Escape combination, it can be used in any distance.

She is more often used as a Grand Escape runner than a normal leader.

She has growth in all the stats needed for a Grand Escape runner, such as speed, power, and guts. She can withstand up to middle distance with the unique skill's own recovery effect, but long distance is difficult to train.

Rather, the fact that it activates on the 3rd corner is important, and if the final stage starts at the corner and overlaps ambiguously, it may not perform at its best. The impression is that she has useful skills. Tokyo Racecourse passive, Holding On, and Solidify Preparation are rarely used effectively and tend to be wasted, but the two core skills, Sure Win and Unreachable Shadow, are high-tier skills for leaders.

The evolution skills are also well received. Most of the Sure Win evolution skills are similar, but in the case of the Unreachable Shadow evolution, the activation condition is greatly relaxed from a 1-length difference to a 3-length difference, which is very useful. Of course, the timing to meet the activation condition is the final stage in the last spurt situation, so there is a high possibility that it will be wasted and not used.

The overall evaluation of the skills is that they are good if they are activated in certain situations, but the composition is ambiguous with many parts that are likely to be wasted.
