The Pikachu deck is currently a top-tier deck, alongside Mewtwo, and is recommended for beginners due to its ease of play and fast tempo!
The more Lightning-type Pokémon you fill on your bench, the more damage you can deal, allowing you to dominate the game from the early stages!
· Deploy Pikachu ex to the battlefield and set up Lightning-type Pokémon cards on your bench to deal 90 damage from the early game.
· Pikachu ex is a Basic Pokémon card, increasing its chance of appearing in your starting hand. If it doesn’t show up, you can use a Poké Ball card to draw it into your hand.
· The deck heavily relies on Pikachu ex, so if it’s drawn late, you may be at a disadvantage. The deck also has a low damage ceiling, making it weaker in the late game.
· Quickly secure a Pikachu ex card and set up other Electric-type Pokémon on the bench.
· Attach two Lightning Energy to Pikachu ex to attack, and allocate any leftover Energy to bench Pokémon.
· If your opponent's early Pokémon are strong, charge Pikachu ex’s energy on the bench (utilize Speed-Up and Boom Ball to retreat strategically).
· The most fundamental Pikachu deck build.
· Even if Pikachu ex is drawn late, you can buy time using Boom Ball, which has no retreat cost.
· Attach two Energies to Pikachu ex and then allocate any surplus Energy to Zapdos ex, allowing it to shine in the late game.
· A deck that utilizes Zebstrika instead of Boom Ball.
· Leverage Zebstrika’s ability to attack both the opponent’s active Pokémon and benched Pokémon with just one Energy.
· Even if Pikachu ex is drawn late, Zebstrika can control the early game. While it has a retreat cost of 1 Energy, this can be mitigated with a Speed-Up card.
· You can adjust the deck by swapping out 2 Potions for 2 Pincurchin cards.
· A deck designed to overcome the late-game weakness of the Pikachu ex deck by including Raichu, which deals 140 damage.
· The early game is similar to the basic Pikachu deck, but you can switch to a Raichu-centric strategy in the mid-game.
Evolve your benched Pikachu into Raichu, swap it with Pikachu ex on the battlefield, and use Matisse to secure Energy, allowing Raichu to deal 140 damage.
· The downside is that the combo requires specific cards in hand, and your strategy may falter if your opponent uses a Red Card.
