Tournament Environment
Since Riki was so strong, everyone raised her, so 3 Riki (Runaway) is always the basic base for team composition. The leading runners other than Riki were Smart Falcon (New Costume), Hokko Tarumae, and Camping Taiki Shuttle. Agnes Digital performed the best among the Front Runners.
Sometimes, users were seen raising Cluguri, Oguri Cap, or Wonder Acute as alternatives, and towards the end, Swimsuit Suzuka was evaluated as quite strong, but there was barely enough time to actually raise her.
In addition, the number of Uma Musume who can run on dirt is small, so F2P users brought Normal Taiki, El Condor Pasa, Maruzensky, and Haru Urara as they were, so the gap was bigger than expected in this competition. There were also entries where Riki was raised first and the rest were filled with debuffers, so the stamina requirement was higher than expected.
In the reporter's case, Riki + Shin Falcon + Hokko in a 2 Runaway 1 Front Runner combination, with Hokko triggering her unique skill well, won the race.
Entry Combination
Since Copano Riki was overwhelmingly strong in this competition, everyone put Riki in regardless of running style. Runaway was the strongest and most popular, but users who lacked Runaway training support chose Front Runner or Chaser according to their support cards.
It was best to create a combination according to your own cards rather than aiming for a definite winning plan. Users with enough resources probably used 2 Runaway + 1 Front Runner / 1 Runaway + 2 Front Runner / 1 Big Runaway + 2 Runaway as the main combinations. Another method is to have Riki and then just add debuffers to the other two.
The ratio of front running styles was high, so Front Runners struggled in the skill activation order, and conversely, Chasers were in trouble if many debuffers appeared, so the Runaway ratio was inevitably high in this competition.
Runaway Training
Although Runaway Riki is the strongest pick in this competition, Shin Costume Smart Falcon was also very strong even if it wasn't Riki. It has its own acceleration skill even though it's random in the final stage, and its unique skill has a stamina recovery effect, so it was quite strong in debuffing or raising position in the mid-game.
Normal Costume Smart Falcon was also used, but in this case, rather than being the ace, it was in charge of a kind of cover role that aimed to prevent Angling from failing by packing early to mid-game skills to suppress the opponent Riki's momentum as much as possible.
Big Runaway Suzuka was released right after the competition was held, so research was delayed, but it was a pick that emerged at the end, with its unique skill's compatibility with the course being excellent. However, Suzuka's basic dirt aptitude is G, so raising it to B, which is practical level, was hellish, so it is not a recommended pick.
As a side pick, there is Swimsuit Maruzensky, who is burning her veteran spirit. She is strong against stamina debuffs, and her mid-game is solid, so users who increased her stats surprisingly had a good win rate.
If you are confident in Runaway training, you can prepare with just the Riki and Hwang Falcon duo.
Front Runner Training
Hokko Tarumae and Camping Taiki were the mainstream in the Front Runner side. In Hokko's case, the strength is that you can just trigger her unique skill well even without any special acceleration skills, and stabilize stamina through her own recovery skill.
Camping Taiki was good because she had an excellent unique skill that increases speed + running speed, as well as possessing the competition's tier 1 value skills such as Mile Ruler + Fierce Competition.
As sub picks, there are Cluguri, who is like a national soup, Seeking the Pearl, who has strong stats, and Acute, whose unique skill has good activation timing.
However, sub picks were only sub picks, and as many Runaways appeared, Front Runners with low stats or few mid-game skills tended to sink, so combinations with 2 or more Front Runners were somewhat risky.
Chaser Training
At first, it didn't receive much attention, but it is an attractive running style because it can utilize various acceleration skills compared to Front Runners or Chasers, where guaranteed acceleration skills are wiped out.
Agnes Digital, who has a good balance of skills, belonged to the major picks, and Wonder Acute or Oguri Cap occasionally showed their faces. It is a pity that Summer Bamboo throws away one evolution skill, and Haru Urara was chosen by users who really had no other picks.
The Funabashi track, which is the competition course, has a short final straight, so it is a disadvantage that you cannot survive if the mid-game is weak, but it is a case where the win rate has increased as the Runaway ratio increased and debuffs began to mix in. Check your support card pool and choose the running style that is easy to train.
Debuff Training
Since Riki is so strong, there were quite a few combinations where Riki was raised and the rest were covered with debuffs.
In most competitions, speed debuffs with the monopolistic power + insight combination, which can stably see the effect, are the mainstream, but in this competition, stamina debuffs are also effective due to the special nature of the Funabashi track and the considerably high stamina cut.
There is no downhill that reduces stamina reduction at all, and the course is close to flat, so although the distance is 1,600m, it actually requires stamina close to a middle distance. When training, there were many users who barely managed to match 500-600 stamina, even though the game says 700.
The reporter also couldn't match the stamina cut for Riki while training, so I solved the stamina debuff problem by putting Falcon and Hokko in the entry.
The point to note is that Nature, who has low dirt aptitude, cannot run properly in dirt competitions, so it is not recommended to learn skills such as Glare, which only targets the target in sight. Of course, it doesn't matter if you are confident in completing the dirt modification and making her run properly.
