It's known that having the 'second turn' to attach energy first is advantageous in battle.

However, there are Pokémon that are more effective when going first.

✅Pokémon that benefit from going first

· Basic Water Pokémon with high damage

· Stage 1 Pokémon that can attack with 1 energy

· Basic or Stage 1 Pokémon with usable Abilities

1️⃣Basic Water Pokémon with high damage

· The first turn allows you to use Support cards before the second turn player

· If you use Mist to attach energy on the first turn, you can unleash a powerful attack from the start

· Articuno ex, Lapras ex, regular Articuno, and regular Lapras are especially strong

2️⃣Stage 1 Pokémon that can attack with 1 energy

· The first turn allows you to evolve before the second turn player

· You can evolve + attach 1 energy on the 2nd turn to attack immediately

· Most can deal 40 damage and have higher HP than Farfetch'd

· Exeggutor, Exeggutor ex, Kingler, Dugtrio, and Dustox can deal more damage or have special effects

3️⃣Basic or Stage 1 Pokémon with usable Abilities

· The first turn allows you to use Pokémon Abilities before the second turn player

· Porygon can use a Monster Ball to shuffle if you don't like the cards after using its Ability

· Koffing can poison the opponent's Pokémon as early as the 2nd turn

· Hypno is good for restricting actions because it can put opponents to sleep even from the bench
