After installing Windows 11, version 24H2, on devices,AutoHDRmay cause issues in games. You might see incorrect game colors on certain display configurations. You might also observe some games becoming unresponsive.

Automatic HDR is a feature in Windows that enhances the gaming experience by automatically converting standard SDR (dynamic range) content to HDR (High Dynamic Range).

To protect your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on devices with Auto HDR enabled. These devices will not be offered Windows 11 version 24H2 through the Windows Update release channeltoinstall.IT administrators using Windows Update for Business reports can use the safeguard ID 55382406 to check for this issue.

Important:Until this issue is resolved, we recommend that you do not manually update to version 24H2 using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant or the Media Creation Tool. 

Workaround:You can prevent this issue by turning off Auto HDR on your device. Here are the detailed steps:

1. StartOpen theSettings.
2. System>Display.
3. Scroll down toGraphics.
4. To turn off Auto HDR for all games,Default settingsUse the control.
5. To turn off Auto HDR for individual games, the applicationCustom settings forSelect and select a specific game.
