- New content massively updated, including new islands, Pals, and factions
- Player level increased to 60, 20 new weapon types added
- Terraria collaboration Part 1, new weapon '미야우미어' added
Pocketpair's 'Palworld' has released its new update 'Paybreak' today (23rd).
Like Sakurajima, which was updated last June, this update also adds a large number of new content centered on the new island Paybreak. The core of this update is Paybreak, which is also the update title. In Paybreak, which boasts six times the area of Sakurajima, the cherry blossom island, players must face the new faction, the Paybreak Warriors, who rule the island with the power of the missile battery camp. The Paybreak Warriors, whose appearance is reminiscent of Vikings or Barbarians, caught the attention of gamers at The Game Awards 2024.
New resources have also been added along with Paybreak. These are Chromite and Hexolyte Quartz. Chromite must be found using items that can detect Pals or metals, and Hexolyte Quartz is a special resource only found in Paybreak. The mechanics are also noteworthy. 'Expedition', which sends Pals on expeditions to acquire resources, and 'Research', which permanently increases the productivity of the base, have been added, which are expected to ensure a more pleasant play.
You can't miss the predator Pals either. They are powerful, but if you defeat them, you can get rare resources as a reward. In addition to this, new bases such as platform oil rigs and boss attack helicopters that protect the base, as well as new raid Xenolords, have been added to provide new fun, including bounty hunter NPCs who punish criminals.
As new areas, Pals, bases, bosses, and raids are added, the player's level cap has also been raised to 60, and new skills and equipment have been added accordingly. In the case of weapons, you can see that about 20 types of weapons such as laser Gatling guns and katanas have been added, and new items such as double jump boots and resurrection potions have been added to further enhance the fun of adventure and combat.
Meanwhile, the previously announced collaboration with 'Terraria' was also distributed on the same day. As the first collaboration, the new weapon '미야우미어' is added to 'Palworld'. '미야우미어' is a melee weapon that fires bullets and is expected to provide a new and unique combat experience. While announcing the collaboration news, 'Palworld' said that it plans to release more diverse collaboration content sequentially in 2025, raising expectations.
