POE2 information mainly uses English terms, and information is also shared in abbreviations, so it can be difficult to search for information if you don't know the abbreviations. Therefore, we have compiled a list of frequently used English-based abbreviations.
If you are a user who frequently uses the trade site, you should also know the trading terms. There are times when you need to have a small conversation for a trade, and if the other person is not Korean, you will need to use English. At this time, you don't need fluent English, just simple trading terms, and the other person will also use only trading terms. There are many unfamiliar words in trading terms, but there are only a few words used, so it's easy to memorize.
■ Skill and Effect Terms
CI (Chaos Inoculation) - Chaos Inoculation: A passive skill tree node that fixes life to 1 and grants immunity to chaos damage.
RT (Resolute Technique) - Resolute Technique: A passive skill tree node that prevents critical strikes but ensures all attacks hit.
MoM (Mind over Matter) - Mind over Matter: A passive skill tree node that absorbs a portion of damage as mana.
PB (Point Blank) - Point Blank: A passive skill tree node that increases or decreases projectile damage based on distance from the enemy.
HoI (Herald of Ice) - Herald of Ice: An aura skill that deals cold damage when an enemy is killed.
HoT (Herald of Thunder) - Herald of Thunder: An aura skill that drops lightning when an electrified enemy is killed.
ES (Energy Shield) - Energy Shield: A shield added next to health that automatically regenerates over time.
HP (Health Points) - Health Points
MF (Magic Find) - Magic Find: A stat that increases item drop rate and rare item drop chance.
IIQ (Increased Item Quantity) - Increased Item Quantity: An option that increases the number of items dropped.
IIR (Increased Item Rarity) - Increased Item Rarity: An option that increases the rarity of dropped items.
DoT (Damage Over Time) - Damage Over Time: An effect that continuously damages the enemy over time.
AoE (Area of Effect) - Area of Effect: An effect that affects all enemies within a specific area.
DPS (Damage Per Second) - Damage Per Second: The average amount of damage dealt per second.
LL (Low Life) - Low Life: Refers to a state where health is 35% or less of the maximum.
CoC (Cast on Critical Strike) - Cast on Critical Strike, a gem that automatically activates a skill when a critical strike occurs.
CoF (Cast on Freeze) - Cast on Freeze gem
CoS (Cast on Shock) - Cast on Shock gem
Culling (Culling Strike) - Culling Strike, instantly kills an enemy if its health is below 30%.
Maim (Maim) - Maim, a support gem that reduces movement speed and evasion.
BM (Blood Magic) - Blood Magic: Removes all mana, converting the mana cost of skills to health cost, a passive skill tree node.
ED (Essence Drain) - Essence Drain: A skill that deals continuous chaos damage to enemies.
SSF (Solo Self-Found) - Solo Self-Found: A game mode where you farm items yourself without trading
HC (Hardcore) - Hardcore: If the character dies, they are league out and changed to standard
