In 2025, the game's forward-thinking multiplayer elements are more likely to secure a dedicated community, and graphics and technical improvements make it the best way to play. However, as a PS Vita game, constant loading, boring characters, relatively simple combat, and endless busywork have somewhat clouded rosy memories of the original."

Freedom Wars Remastered has some shortcomings in some areas, but it's an engaging action RPG with an addictive gameplay loop that makes it hard to stop playing."
