The Lost Ark story boasts its own splendid direction, but it also has clear limitations. This is largely due to engine issues that prevent delicate direction of character expressions and gestures. Due to these problems, it was difficult to see lively acting or emotional expressions in Lost Ark story cutscenes. These systemic limitations were also present in the Fleche and Music Box stories, where emotional lines were very important.

However, Shandi pulled it off in this story. The story description was good, but the character's expression was used in various angles (the face is changed three times, with a faint smile, bloody tears, and a scarred Shandi), and delicate directing such as eyelid tremors and hand gestures, which were difficult to see in Lost Ark, evoked emotion. The story, which vividly depicts Shandi's frustration and awakening, and the voice actor's passionate performance also played a part.

Lost Ark's narrative is constantly evolving, but many believe that it has reached its limit in terms of direction after Elgacia. This is because they have shown as much splendid direction as they can, such as action and war. However, this Rimlake Southern Island did not have as flashy and suspenseful a narrative as Kurzan, but it achieved a completely different kind of development through the storytelling of the characters and delicate direction.

The city 'Sha' in Rimlake Southern Island is a city characterized by glass crafts. This is because the glass crafting process is similar to the Yoz's illusion magic, so Sha has a separate glass workshop area, and there are installations made by glass craft artisans throughout the city.

In particular, the downtown area, Tabilra Workshop, and the area near the Elder Council are full of splendid glass craft decorations from the floor up. The sparkling appearance depending on the character's movement is spectacular, giving it a special feeling. There are many other beautiful cities in Lost Ark such as Rohendel and Elgacia, but it seems that Rimlake gives a special feeling because of the light source of the glass sculptures.

The characteristics of glass crafts and stained glass seem to have been influenced by Prague in the Czech Republic. This is because the interior of the 'Elder Council' in Sha resembles St. Vitus Cathedral in the Czech Republic. This cathedral is famous for having stained glass works by the artist 'Alphonse Mucha', who is famous for influencing modern illustrations. Coincidentally, stained glass with a similar tone to Mucha's also appears as a key element in the story inside the Elder Council.

Rimlake is a city of Yoz, so various Yoz appear. Until now, the only Specialist jobs were the basic appearances of the Artist and the Weather Artist, as well as Shandi and Nada, an NPC for exchanging rapport. So, if it was a male Yoz, we would think of Shandi, and if it was a female, we would think of the image of the Specialist job, but the actual appearance of the Yoz revealed in Rimlake was much more diverse.

Large-bodied Yoz and male Yoz with beautiful appearances appeared in large numbers in Rimlake Northern Island, implying the possibility that a gender lock for the Specialist class could be released. In particular, 'Pahu', who gained attention for his splendid hair and appearance, is representative. Currently, the only male gender lock in Lost Ark is the Martial Artist, so it is noteworthy whether the Yoz will make the second start.

A parody of the entertainment show 'Black and White Chef', which was recently broadcast on Netflix and became a hot topic, also appeared. It is the smoked acorn noodles, one of the relic dishes, and it seems clear that it is a parody when you look at the setting that it was burned and the expression of the savory taste. It is a direct adaptation of the signature menu of chef Ahn Seong-jae's restaurant 'Mosu', who worked as a judge on Black and White Chef.

Lost Ark's Adventurer's Tome consists of taste connoisseur NPC Amalon's tasting reviews, and the part where he gives star ratings and evaluates various elements is a parody of the 'Michelin Guide'. The dishes in Rimlake Southern Island seemed to be particularly tailored to gourmet food, perhaps conscious of the Black and White Chef, and the dish with the grand name 'Bread with Golden Apple Jam and Corn Tea' is representative. Among the life materials, the expression 'Rimchelin (Rimlake + Michelin, it seems)' also appeared.

Shandi's house, which became the stage for famous scenes in the Rimlake Southern Island story, such as Shandi's seclusion and awakening, and a glass of pear blossom wine offered to the departed Gingerwhale. If you look closely at the Go board in this house, you can see a famous Go record. It is the game between Google Deep Mind's artificial intelligence AlphaGo and Lee Se-dol 9-dan in 2016. It is the Go record of the fourth game in which Lee Se-dol 9-dan's move caused AlphaGo's win rate to plummet and declare defeat (resign).

Shandi, who sent Gingerwhale away, joins the Allied Forces and says that his 'head has cleared' and that various strategies are coming to mind, so it is possible that the awakened Shandi will come up with a brilliant strategy to defeat Kazeros.

In Rimlake, you can see various animals like Papunika. This is because the Yoz people like their animals 'Tupi' and because they often use illusion magic. Cats, dogs, and illusion birds are playing all over the city, and you can also witness Yoz having discussions about Tupi.

There is another secret to the Adventurer's Tome dish 'Bread with Golden Apple Jam and Corn Tea'. It is the 'Faded Apple' that is included as an ingredient. Adventurers who have done the Adventurer's Tome in Elgacia will remember it right away. It is the 'Golden Apple' that the Elgacia area field boss dropped. In fact, if you look at the description of the Faded Apple sold by the wandering merchant, it says that it is a description brought down by the Lazeniths from Elgacia. The Golden Apple has become a cooking ingredient in two regions.

The problem is that the manufacturing method of the Elgacia Golden Apple dish is also influencing this. After using the Golden Apple once, it turns into a bitten Golden Apple, and if you use it again and 'turn it slightly', it is completed as a slightly lighter apple, and this is reflected in the Rimlake Adventurer's Tome. The wandering merchant sells two Faded Golden Apples that can be used to make the Adventurer's Tome dish, but for some reason, five light Faded Golden Apples (bitten) are needed. It seems that the wandering merchant also purchased 'bitten apples' from Lazenith.

Meanwhile, the other Adventurer's Tome dish, 'Fruit Flower Jeonggwa', requires three edible flowers, and the ingredients for these edible flowers are interesting. It requires a certain number of exclusive rapport items from other continents. This includes Elgacia's legendary rapport item, 'Lucky Bellflower', which is famous for blooming only once every 700 years. The Lazenith who came down from Elgacia seems to have given this gift to the Yoz of Rimlake for communication, but here it is being used for food.

The Artist's super-awakening skill 'Mirsegeum' is famous for producing ugly dragon paintings with a very low probability. It is an Easter egg that reflects the Specialist's clumsy attribute, and it seems that the Yoz race's illusion magic fails more often than you think. In the city of Sha in Rimlake, you can find Yoz talking about failed illusion magic. Shandi also researches advanced illusion magic in his hideout and creates a lot of failures(?) nearby.

In Yan's Road Training Center, there is an immature Yoz illusion magician who fails at illusion magic and creates a lot of clumsy illusions. If you /encourage this NPC, he will transform the protagonist into a clumsy illusion horse. You can get Mokoko seeds this way, but it seems that you cannot make his illusion magic successful.

Meanwhile, failed illusion magic also appears as enemies, and the Fallen Ones appearing in Nukeman's Gorge use it as an attack technique(?), or they inhabit various places as monsters.
