Using FLEX emotes in VALORANT is quite easy since they are an easily accessible type of cosmetics. You can easily view your FLEX items inside Collections and continue expanding your inventory as Riot Games adds more to the game.

 

When a round starts in VALORANT, I enjoy inspecting my weapons while getting close to the action. Riot added FLEX to VALORANT in patch 10.00, and it quickly became my favourite activity as I left the respawn area.

 

All players have access to the default FLEX in VALORANT, and here's how you can use it.

 

What is FLEX in VALORANT?

 

 

FLEX is a type of cosmetic item in VALORANT. Upon activating FLEX, you'll replace your weapon with another object with interactive features, like a phone or a snowflake.

 

Clicking on your fire button and using the inspect hotkey will allow you to activate different animations for the FLEX of your choice.

 

How do you equip and use FLEX in VALORANT?

 

 

To equip and use a FLEX in VALORANT:

 

  1. Go to VALORANT's main menu.
  2. Navigate to the Collections section.
  3. Switch over to FLEX and equip up to four of them to the Spray Wheel.
  4. Press "T" to bring up the Spray Wheel and select a FLEX to use during a match.

 

Overall, a FLEX works just like a Spray in VALORANT as they share the expression wheel.

 

How to get the snowflake FLEX in VALORANT

 

You can get the snowflake FLEX, Stellar Dendrite, in VALORANT by leveling up the battle pass to tier 37, at the time of writing. There is a decent chance that FLEX items could become staple rewards in battle passes, which already contain various cosmetics from different categories.

 

FLEX animations could become more flashy as Riot figures out the direction it would like to take with the cosmetics. In the meantime, you can continue enjoying different FLEX animations while spectating your teammates or use the opportunity to copy crosshairs in VALORANT.

 

From a personal standpoint, I didn't expect Riot to introduce a new cosmetics type, especially after a year of talks about a possible engine change to VALORANT. Porting cosmetics can be a lot of work, but this could also signal the fact that such a plan could still be way down the road.
