The Mid-Season Invitational, the second international League of Legends esports tournament of 2025, will be held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada.

Riot Games, the developer and service provider of League of Legends (LoL), announced the location and schedule for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) on its official website on the 21st.

The 2025 MSI will be held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, and will feature two weeks of intense competition from its opening on June 27 to the grand final on July 12. The Pacific Coliseum is the largest building in Hastings Park, and is a historic venue that has hosted world-class events such as the 2010 Olympic short track speed skating and figure skating competitions, and the 2017 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Finals. Korean fans remember it as the place where Kim Yuna won a gold medal in figure skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

MSI, the second international LoL Esports tournament organized by Riot Games, is an opportunity to evaluate teams and regions at the midpoint of 2025 and a stage to secure additional tickets to the World Championship. This MSI will feature two teams each from five regions - LCK (Korea), LEC (EMEA), LPL (China), LTA (Americas), and LCP (Asia Pacific). 10 teams will compete for the MSI champion title for two weeks, and the regions that produce the two best-performing teams will be given additional slots for the LoL World Championship.

MSI, which was first held in 2015, is continuing its legacy for the 11th year with this tournament. Riot Games announced at a press conference during the First Stand period that "The total prize pool for this MSI has been set at $2 million (approximately ₩2.9 billion), an eightfold increase from the previous year, and the total prize pool for the LoL World Championship, which will be held from late September to early November, has also been doubled from $2.25 million to $5 million (approximately ₩7 billion)."

Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports at Riot Games, said, "Riot Games is continuing its efforts to create a sustainable ecosystem for professional teams and players, and there is a possibility that the prize pool will increase further through sales of digital goods."

Meanwhile, fans who want to watch MSI 2025 on-site can make their first purchase on March 28 (Fri) KST, and the second purchase will be available from May 30 (Fri). Fans with Mastercards can make their first purchase one day earlier than general purchasers on March 27 (Thu) and the second purchase from May 29 (Thu).
