Nintendo Switch 2 Information

■ More Powerful Device Performance

The Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger 7.9-inch display with the same 13.9mm thickness as the Switch 1, allowing you to enjoy games on a larger screen. It supports up to 120fps at 1080p resolution, providing a clearer and smoother screen. It also features an HDR-supported LCD screen, and in TV mode, you can see clear graphics with up to 4K resolution and HDR support. A cooling fan is also stored inside the dock.

Joy-Con 2 has also been upgraded. Unlike the previous version, it is attached to the main body with a strong magnet, and can be easily detached by pressing the release button on the back. The SL and SR buttons and the stick are all larger, and in games that support the feature, you can also move the Joy-Con like a mouse.

The sound has also been enhanced and supports spatial audio. You can use the game chat function without additional devices through the built-in microphone. The stand is wider and more robust, allowing you to freely adjust the angle in table mode, and two additional USB-C ports have been added for convenient charging.

The built-in storage space provides 256GB and supports faster data read and write speeds, which will greatly reduce game loading times. The corresponding memory card is a Micro SD Express card, which enables high-speed data communication.

■ Added New Features Including Game Chat

The most central of the new features added to the Nintendo Switch 2 is game chat. You can communicate with friends and family via voice while playing games through the microphone built into the Nintendo Switch 2 console. It supports noise canceling and can recognize voices even from a distance. It can also be used in handheld mode.

It can be used by activating the game chat function, and you can quickly bring up the chat menu using the C button added to the Joy-Con 2. When connecting a separate Nintendo Switch 2 camera, video calls are also possible during the game. The camera will be released with the Switch 2 console.

You can also use the game screen sharing function. If you turn on the option in the game chat menu, you can share the game screen with the other person and play together. It is also possible to adjust the size of the game screen. The game chat function requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, but you can try it for free until March 31, 2026.

Sharing communication has also been added, which allows you to play games with other consoles without additional software. Through this, you can play multiplayer on up to 4 consoles with one game, and you can also immediately share communication with game chat partners. Sharing communication is only possible with compatible software.
