World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2 Blood Death Knight Condensed Guide A guide for Blood Death Knights (Blood DK) in Season 2, based on high Mythic+ keys, providing information on stat priority, trinket selection, weapon selection, and talent settings. It is recommended to prioritize Versatility, consider talent changes according to dungeon characteristics, and select trinkets and talents according to personal skill level.
1. Season Blood Death Knight Guide Intro and Criteria
00:01 - 00:14
This is a basic guide for Blood Death Knights this season, explained based on high Mythic+ keys. There may be exceptions in low keys or raids.
2. Stat Priority
00:15 - 01:06
It is recommended to aim for around 27%~30% Haste. It is good to aim for around 10% Versatility or higher. Currently running 15~16 keys and considering increasing Versatility further. Mastery and Crit are a matter of preference, but this season, many mobs have painful auto-attacks, so it's okay to prioritize Crit.
3. Trinket Recommendations
01:07 - 02:40
Sepulcher is a must-have trinket. It increases Crit during the opening, helps with aggro acquisition, and contributes to the music. Barrier, Resonating Mud, and Scrapmetal 91 are basic shield trinkets that help with survival. The Alchemist's Stone increases Versatility and randomly increases stats, making it easy to use. The Resonant Radio is good because of the stat increase and Haste. The Light's Devotion Codex increases defense, absorbs magic damage, and has an effect that increases Crit when used. Its usefulness may vary depending on your skill level.
4. Weapon Selection
02:41 - 04:09
This season's best-in-slot weapon may not be suitable for Blood Death Knights. When equipped, it has 4000~5000 random secondary stats, and when used, the highest secondary stat increases by 5000, but Blood Death Knights already have high Haste, so it's hard to see a big effect. A weapon with basic stats (Haste+Versatility or Haste+Mastery) may be better.
5. Capital's Punisher
04:10 - 05:09
Based on level 658, the damage contribution is about 0.1% of the entire Mythic+ key and about 0.2% of single target damage. There is no need to try to get it, and it is not recommended to buy it with the Ginar Token that will come out later. It's only worth considering if you want to increase your damage contribution even slightly.
6. Ascension and Symbiotic Trinkets
05:10 - 06:37
It is more recommended to use a 678 weapon. If you really want to use one, Symbiotic is better than Ascension. Symbiotic provides a 5-stack Versatility buff that lasts for 20 seconds every 10 seconds. Ascension provides a random secondary stat that lasts for 15 seconds every 8 seconds. I think Symbiotic is better for running high keys because it increases Versatility for sure and the stacks build up faster. Currently using two Elemental Resonators, and the trinket selection will be decided next week when I get a weapon.
7. Talent Guide
06:38 - 09:46
Introducing the talents currently being used in high keys. I'm only making changes such as changing Gorefiend's Grasp to Vampiric Blood. Some high-key users also run it by removing Consumption and adding Blood Tap. In rare cases, some people remove Hemostasis and use Blooddrinker to fill the void of Consumption. During the opening, there are many guided pulls, so Gorefiend's can deal a lot of effective damage. Practicing Gorefiend's is not bad, and if you don't like it, you can compromise with Vampiric Blood. Bloody Mess and Bloodied Blades are a matter of preference. It is also possible to remove Consumption and take Blooddrinker and Bloodied Blades, or remove Bloody Mess and take Bloodied Blades. If you want to remove Consumption, it is better to do it after finding a way to get runes. You should consider using Rune Tap a lot and running out of runes.
