1. Difference between Normal and Legacy Weapons
Normal weapons have unified attack power increase and final damage values, and cooldown ratios are adjusted for balance.
Legacy weapons have the same front attack and cooldown ratio, but there are differences in final damage values and equipment options.
It should be noted that the ranking of legacy and normal weapons may differ even for the same type of weapon.
2. Lightsaber
Guaranteed basic performance, almost no penalties.
Fast attack speed and induction characteristics despite low front attack.
Excellent performance due to equipment options and passive skill cooldown reduction effects.
Legacy Lightsaber compensates for front attack weaknesses, has high final damage, and even has a cooldown reduction effect.
Tier 1 weapon with damage, speed, damage reduction, and cooldown reduction.
3. Blunt
Highest front attack after greatsword, heavy feel.
Shockwave occurs when attacking skills, mob bounding effect.
For the YouSim combo, it is recommended to link in the order of Rising, Impact, Returning, and Spinning (20% higher damage when cast in the air).
Do not invest SP in Charge Crash, invest in YouSim skills.
The last hit of Illusion Sword Dance is changed to a shockwave, with high damage and easy pre-hit.
Normal blunts have lower front attack and slower attack speed than greatswords, so it is recommended to use them only when dropped.
In seasons with insufficient cooldown, the inherent performance is decent, but the damage is low due to cooldown reduction/recovery options.
It is recommended to use it in combination with set equipment with a high damage increase rate.
4. Short Sword
Medium front attack, attack speed, no inherent cooldown reduction benefits.
Short reach, wide skill range.
High damage increase rate, high Charge Crash/Raging Dragon Slash coefficients.
The range of Daldo is long, making it advantageous for hunting mobs, but direct hits are required when attacking bosses/named monsters.
Additional hits are possible after hitting YouSim Impact (there is a delay).
When casting YouSim Horizontal Slash, the short sword has high GunPung damage and increased hit count.
Casting SimGeom pulls enemies in (not for fixed/building-type enemies).
Focus on AoE/utility, good for multiple mobs/normal dungeons, but lacks single target damage, no cooldown reduction.
Recommended to use when acquiring high-grade item drops.
5. Katana
Inflicts bleeding on attack, attack speed is the fastest after lightsaber, 5% cooldown reduction bonus.
Similar to lightsaber, Single Strike 7 hits, Draw Sword 2 attacks, increased number of Illusion Sword Dance slashes/decreased attack power.
Inflicts Self-Wound status effect upon reaching Katana Mastery level 10 (up to 17 stacks).
Self-Wound explosion damage, stack management is important.
Potential for high score renewal when Meteor Fall skill customization is revamped in the future.
Self-Wound is a bleeding mechanism, it is difficult to check stacks when partying with bleeding equipment users/jobs.
Short duration makes it difficult to time against invincible mobs.
6. Greatsword
YouSim Impact has an additional downward slash motion like the short sword (same damage when cast in the air).
Charge Crash has an additional downward slam, it is recommended to invest in YouSim skills.
Invest remaining SP in Rising/Impact after mastering.
The most powerful Illusion Sword Dance slash damage.
Additional damage increase when charging SimGeom/Draw Sword.
Draw Sword must be held down until the start of the cast for full charge damage (disadvantageous in urgent situations).
It used to be a heavy damage weapon, but now it is pushed back by the lightsaber.
7. Overall Evaluation and Weapon Ranking
Normal weapons: Choose according to mastery performance, Lightsaber (1st), Katana (2nd), Short Sword (3rd), Blunt (4th), Greatsword (5th)
Legacy weapons: There are differences in damage increase, utility, and options, Lightsaber (1st), Katana/Blunt (2nd), Short Sword (3rd), Greatsword (4th)
YangWol has a high value with 20% cooldown reduction, but the ranking may change depending on the setting.
Choose short sword and greatsword considering the difference in damage/feel.
