Turn-based RPG new release ‘Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’ simultaneous global launch on the 24th
Smilegate announced that Sandfall Interactive's debut title, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is attracting attention as one of the most anticipated titles of 2025, will be officially released worldwide starting at 4 PM on the 24th.
The PC version of 33 원정대 can be found on Stove, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and it will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
‘클레르 옵스퀴르: 33 원정대’ is a JRPG-style turn-based RPG based on a fantasy Belle Epoque world. It features a unique world inspired by the Belle Epoque era of France, in-depth character development, emotional direction, and a reactive turn-based combat system combined with real-time action elements. Players will join the final journey of the 33 원정대 as they confront 'The Paintress,' an entity that counts down numbers each year and erases people of the same age as the number with smoke.
The character dubbing features top-notch voice actors from the game and film industries, including Andy Serkis, famous for his role as Gollum in 'The Lord of the Rings' series, as well as Charlie Cox (Netflix series 'Daredevil'), Jennifer English ('Baldur's Gate 3'), and Ben Starr ('Final Fantasy XVI'), adding to the immersion.
Along with the official release, the '33 원정대' original soundtrack, featuring 154 songs totaling 8 hours, was also released simultaneously on major streaming platforms worldwide. Soprano Alice Duport-Percier participated in the vocals. In addition, a special 33-minute track 'Nos vies En Lumière' (Our Lives in Light), which musically interprets the main themes of the game, has been released. It is a song that condenses the core emotions of the original soundtrack and delivers a deep resonance that seems to evoke the vast world of ‘클레르 옵스퀴르: 33 원정대’.
‘클레르 옵스퀴르: 33 원정대’ is available in two versions: the standard edition and the digital deluxe edition. The digital deluxe edition includes the 'Flower Collection' with 6 types of costumes and hairstyles inspired by the flowers of Lumiere, and exclusive costumes for the characters 'Mael' and 'Gustave'. Smilegate will hold discounts and launch events to commemorate the release of ’33 원정대’.
