Maple Big Bang Returns Job Tier List and Recommendations A summary of Maple Big Bang Returns job tiers based on hunting and bossing, with recommended jobs. Considering the possibility of balance patches, we recommend jobs suitable for both free-to-play and paying users.
1. Intro and Tier Selection Criteria
00:00 - 00:44
Mentioning the nerfs to Dual Blade, Mechanic, and Evan, we're organizing job tiers to coincide with the Big Bang Returns launch. The tier selection criteria comprehensively considers both hunting and bossing aspects. A total of 22 job classes are expected, and since leveling up for boss battles is important, we're considering both boss battles and hunting.
2. Warrior Job Tiers (Hero, Paladin, Dark Knight)
00:45 - 01:16
Hero: Has good bossing utility and a party attack power buff, making it a 1.5 tier. Paladin: Low potion consumption due to defense and self-healing, an essential job for boss battles, and low one-shot cut for elemental hunting, making it a 1 tier. Recommended to raise as an Ultimate Adventurer. Dark Knight: Good for free-to-play users due to the Beholder buff, but bossing utility is lower than Hero, making it a 1.5 tier.
3. Archer Job Tiers (Bowmaster, Marksman)
01:17 - 01:55
Bowmaster: Strong single target damage with Hurricane, and has a bossing utility buff (Sharp Eyes), making it a 1 tier. Marksman: Has Piercing and charging, and X-axis hunting isn't bad, but it's a decent 2 tier. Wild Hunter might be better.
4. Magician Job Tiers (Bishop, Fire/Poison, Ice/Lightning)
01:56 - 02:36
Bishop: Excellent bossing utility, making it a 1 tier and an essential presence. Hunting has been nerfed a lot, but it has the Holy Symbol buff. Fire/Poison, Ice/Lightning: 3 tier, no bossing utility but great for hunting. Hunting will be fun.
5. Thief Job Tiers (Shadower, Night Lord)
02:37 - 03:26
Shadower: A 0 tier DPS, with very strong bossing damage, and good hunting with Boomerang Step. Also has good mobility. Night Lord: 1.5 tier, bossing damage is solid, but the cast time of 4th job skills is a bit disappointing. More merit as you spend money, and good for Wall parties.
6. Pirate Job Tiers (Viper, Captain)
03:27 - 04:26
Viper: Ranks up to 1.5 tier with cooldown reset skills and Wind Booster buff. Recommended to raise as an Ultimate Adventurer. Captain: 3 tier, a summoner version, lacking in both utility and damage.
7. Nerfed Jobs (Dual Blade, Evan)
04:27 - 05:10
Dual Blade: Used to be a 0 tier but has been nerfed to a 2 tier. No party utility and reduced hunting ability, but good mobility. Evan: Hunting ability has been greatly reduced to a 2.5 tier due to increased cooldowns on Flame Haze and Dragon Breath.
8. Buffed Jobs (Aran, Mechanic)
05:11 - 06:08
Aran: Requires combos, but decent in both hunting and bossing damage, and low one-shot cut, upgraded to a 1 tier. Mechanic: Damage has been nerfed, but excellent utility such as team HP recovery, monster defense reduction, and damage increase, making it a 1 tier. Better as you spend money.
9. Other Jobs (Wild Hunter, Battle Mage)
06:09 - 06:50
Wild Hunter: Better than Marksman, and has Hurricane, Sharp Eyes, and damage increase utility, making it a 1 tier. If you want to raise an archer, we recommend Wild Hunter. Battle Mage: Hunting ability is not good, but good utility in boss battles such as damage absorption, status resistance, and Shelter, making it a 1.5 tier.
10. Overall Evaluation and Job Recommendations
06:51 - 08:20
1 tier to 2 tier are decent, and 3 tier is for unique preferences. You should consider that the operator may have balance patches. We recommend Paladin and Bishop for free-to-play users, and Shadower, Wild Hunter, and Aran are also good. The next video will explain the leveling route and guide.
