A new collaboration is coming to Overwatch 2 on the 30th. This time it's 'Gundam'.
Blizzard Entertainment (Blizzard) announced a collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing on the 28th and released a new trailer. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is a representative Gundam series animation that deals with non-Universe Century, and is also the first Gundam work to be broadcast in the North American market.
Blizzard announced its ambition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the animation series and deliver inspiration to a new generation of fans through the collaboration with Gundam Wing, a historical work that became an opportunity for Overwatch 2 to introduce Gundam to global fans.
New legendary skins inspired by various mobile suits in Gundam Wing will be added to Overwatch 2. It's not just about decorating the existing hero's appearance with Gundam-style decorations, but a bold design that transforms the entire hero visual into Gundam stands out. Reaper, Ramattra, Soldier: 76, and Mercy were selected as collaboration heroes for this collaboration. Each will receive a legendary skin inspired by Gundam Deathscythe, Gundam Epyon, Tallgeese, and Wing Gundam Zero.
The Gundam Wing collaboration skins will be available in Overwatch 2 starting on the 30th. Each skin will be sold in the in-game store along with other cosmetic item bundles, and if you purchase the 'Overwatch 2 X Gundam Wing Mega Bundle', you can acquire all four Gundam skins added through the collaboration.
In addition, an in-game challenge achievement event will be held to commemorate the collaboration. Here, you can acquire free additional cosmetic items, including the 'Gundam Mari' weapon charm.
The Overwatch 2 and Gundam Wing collaboration will be held from April 30th to May 13th.
