Innoonie hosts a Nikke broadcast and discusses Heretics. Little Mermaid's closed eyes shed tears. Levi shows evidence that she is a Heretic and is afraid. Little Mermaid orders Levi to stop.

Little Mermaid asks Levi if she is a Heretic, confirming the change in Levi's eye color. Levi replies that she doesn't know her identity and is afraid of being betrayed by people.

Levi recalls the memory of falling into a black water puddle during a resource collection mission in the past, losing her comrades and everything. She recalls being treated as a monster due to the black water and being attacked by her comrades. She decides to lure the Raptures and divert the Nikkes' attention to survive.

Levi wakes up in the water and meets Siren. Siren shows Levi the space in her heart, saying that the space resembles Levi.

Siren promises to tell Levi everything about her bubbles. She says she will help Levi protect herself and keep her from being lonely. Siren talks about the friend Levi needs to find and offers to help find them together.

Levi overcomes her fear of going outside the cave and vows to prove her strength to Siren. She says she will show her that she can catch Raptures with her own power without Siren's help.

Levi fights the Raptures but struggles. She gets the intuition that she escaped through the black water and regrets leaving Siren to be eaten.

Levi apologizes to Siren, but Siren's voice is not heard. The story ends with her saddened by the fact that she betrayed Siren.
