Gifting skins in VALORANT is a handy feature that allows players to treat their friends with in-game cosmetics. Gifting mechanics became a standard feature in most live-service games, but it took a while until Riot Games added gifting to VALORANT.

 

I found out about VALORANT's gifting feature when I received a gift from my duo queue partner. Naturally, I wanted to return the favour, so I got something on their wishlist as a gesture.

How do you gift skins in VALORANT?

 

 

To gift skins in VALORANT:

 

  1. Go to the VALORANT in-game store.
  2. Select a Featured Store Bundle.
  3. Choose the GIFT button, located right below the Buy button with the VP amount.
  4. Select a Recipient for the gift.
  5. Select the item you'd like to gift before clicking on NEXT.
  6. Complete the purchase for the gift.

 

After completing the steps above, your VALORANT gift will immediately be delivered to the recipient. The giftee will have the option to accept the gift or reject it. If they choose to do the latter, you'll receive a refund for the gift. Alternatively, if the giftee doesn't respond in 60 days, you'll also get a refund.

 

VALORANT gifting rules

 

 

VALORANT's gifting system has a few limitations. Here's everything you need to know before sending a gift in VALORANT.

 

  • You can only gift items from featured store bundles, at the time of writing, this may change in the future.
  • You can only gift items that the recipient doesn't own.
  • Your VALORANT account level must be level 15 or above to send gifts.
  • You must be friends with the recipient for at least one week before sending a gift.
  • You must be in the same VALORANT region as your friend.
  • You can only send five VALORANT gifts per day.
  • You must accept or decline a gift within 60 days.

 

Can you get a refund for a gift in VALORANT?

 

 

Yes, you can only get a refund for a VALORANT skin if the recipient rejects the gift. In cases where the giftee accepts the gift, you won't be able to get a refund.
