1. Introduction to Time Attack (TA) and Explanation of Freestyle Rules
Recent establishment of a Monster Hunter Wilds leaderboard site (unofficial).
Time Attack (TA) is subtly different from speedruns.
TA is largely divided into two types: Freestyle and Wiki Rules.
Freestyle rules allow the use of all items and strategies, including companions, Palicoes, traps, Flash/Sonic Bombs, etc. Enables creative play.
2. Detailed Analysis of Wiki Rules (T-Wiki Rules)
Wiki Rules restrict certain tools and items to verify pure hunting skill.
Only the latest version records are accepted (personal version, PS5, Xbox, Steam).
Supported languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Korean is currently not supported).
Quests included in the aggregation: Escort, Reunion, Hunting, Extermination, Single Monster Quests, etc.
Only solo hunter play is allowed (no Palicoes or Support Hunters).
Only records within the top 5 weapon usage counts are posted.
Forbidden items: Raw Meat, Pitfall Meat, Paralysis/Sleep/Lure Meat, various Smoke Bombs, Traps, Bombs, etc.
Items with field restrictions and Slinger ammo can be used freely.
If you accidentally pick up monster drop items, replace them with allowed Slinger ammo.
You can use Throwing Knives, Dung Pods, and Pebbles to lure monsters without being detected.
Environmental creature gimmicks can be activated in advance (only used to suppress the movement of dying monsters).
3. Additional Prohibitions and Permitted Conditions for Wiki Rules
For the Furious Rajang (Raging Brachydios), Slinger gimmicks are allowed for specific monsters.
Skills are completely prohibited (Resentment, Heroics are conditionally prohibited).
Forbidden equipment and food (Fortify, related to Resentment).
Concealing Cloak and all cloaks are prohibited.
Sub-weapon use is prohibited (however, allowed when returning to the original weapon after changing techniques).
Resentment food skill is prohibited (overwrite with re-eating if randomly activated).
Use of Leadrakes and environmental creatures is prohibited (Toadstools, Thunderbugs, Stargazer, Noios, etc.).
Jump attacks using walls are prohibited.
You can induce monster-to-monster combat (turf wars, volcanic eruption damage, Nitro Gas, etc.).
You can ride Toadstool monsters and use derived attacks, weapon attacks, and Soaring Wyvern Blade (but invalid if forbidden gimmicks are activated).
4. How to Submit Records and Additional Rules
Only YouTube videos are accepted (public setting).
Display all information such as equipment, stats, and skills from the start to the end of the quest.
For investigation quests, include the quest acceptance screen to verify the monster's threat level.
Display the entire equipment screen after clearing (1~2 seconds).
Interface HUD must be displayed, and damage values must be shown.
The use of all mods and tools, including cheating and appearance changes, is prohibited.
5. Application of Wiki Rules and Personal Opinions
The basic framework of Wiki Rules does not change even if the work/series changes.
You don't have to be bound by Wiki Rules if you play cleanly.
It is important to understand the intent of Wiki Rules and play accordingly.
Explanation of TA in older works (Nashi Nashi, Ari Ari).
Personally, I refrain from using the Slinger when playing.
