1. Jermio Basic Gimmicks and Normal Patterns
Jermio's core gimmick is incapacitation, and failure to evade results in instant death.
If incapacitation is successful, the main pattern begins.
Normal pattern types:
- Sword: Whole area attack outside the circle after a short delay (black and white background)
- Circular Saw: Homes in on the player and then flies away
- Purple Circle: Explodes after a short delay (can be dodged by jumping)
- Five-Line Circle: Explodes after a short delay (cannot be dodged by jumping)
- Clone: Pink arrow attacks the player (doesn't attack if you look at it)
- Blue Line: Explodes after a short delay (instant death outside)
- Line: Explodes after a short delay (attacks coordinates outside the pit box)
- Shield: Explodes after a short delay, creating a blue orb (blocks Jermio's attacks, grants a one-time shield when the player approaches)
- Space Slash: Ignores invincibility, suppresses, and deals significant damage (can be dodged with a shield or in a black and white background)
2. Main Pattern 1 After Incapacitation Break
The main pattern after incapacitation break appears randomly from three types.
Wait at 6 o'clock, then acquire a shield while rotating in the direction where Jermio isn't to be protected from Space Slash.
A large circular saw moves towards Jermio after two red warnings.
The key is to block Space Slash while avoiding normal patterns after acquiring the shield.
3. Main Pattern 2 After Incapacitation Break
This is a pattern that combines blue lines and clones.
Using backsteps makes it easier to evade the pattern.
The third incapacitation break will result in a fixed combination of previously learned normal patterns.
4. Strategy for Pattern After Third Incapacitation Break
Sweeping is a ground-raising pattern, so it can be dodged by jumping.
Considering the after-delay, the sweeping should be directed towards the sword.
After the screen sweep, only the area around the sword is safe, and it ends with a normal attack gimmick.
5. Grogy Pattern After Fourth Incapacitation Break
The groggy pattern appears after the fourth incapacitation break.
The pattern time is long and the tempo is fast, requiring high concentration.
After the sword falls on the left or right, only the area around the sword is safe, and the sword moves to the opposite side.
Evade the blue line first, then jump out and back in.
6. How to Enter Grogy State and Subsequent Patterns
Jermio sets up a shield gimmick and runs away.
Performing up to the last shield gimmick puts Jermio in a groggy state while casting Space Slash.
One new normal pattern is added after the groggy state.
