1. Introduction to Mobile Manual Control Playability Experiment
Due to recent debates about auto-play after the introduction of the damage meter, we are conducting an experiment to see if manual control play is really difficult in a mobile environment.
7 party members will play the raid difficulty on PC, and the remaining members will play on mobile with manual control to compare the differences.
We will examine the efficiency of mobile manual control through clear times, rankings, etc.
2. PC Environment Raid Difficulty Play
Playing raid difficulty with party members in a PC environment.
The clear time took 11 minutes and 5 seconds, and the boss monster was defeated in 5 minutes.
Plays such as planting the Bard's 'Other Name' went smoothly.
3. Preparing to Play Raid Difficulty in a Mobile Environment
Party members connect via mobile to prepare to play raid difficulty.
The connection speed showed a slower difference compared to PC.
A test was conducted to walk in a square around the campfire, but it was confirmed that accurate right-angle movement is difficult in a mobile environment.
4. Progress of Raid Difficulty Play in a Mobile Environment
Starting raid difficulty in a mobile environment.
There doesn't seem to be a big difference compared to the PC environment, but the character moved randomly due to lag.
Problems such as delayed revival after death also occurred.
5. Mobile Player Interview and Problem Analysis
Listening to the inconveniences through interviews with users who played on mobile.
The Priest says it's harder to avoid floor patterns than on PC, and it's hard to time ultimate skills.
The Swordsman says that the lack of a spacebar key makes it difficult to use approach skills, resulting in DPS loss.
The problem of severe lag when getting off the ship was also pointed out.
6. Experiment Results and Conclusion
Although inconvenience and crashes occurred when playing on mobile, we conclude that there will be no significant difference from PC if we exclude the crash phenomenon, as it does not always crash.
We expect that auto-playing in a mobile environment would be even more terrible, and we think that mobile manual control play is definitely possible.
We ask for opinions on the actual raid experience of mobile users, and finish the video with a request to watch it for fun.
