Demon Hunter cards revealed
Is the main concept 'Deal exactly 2 damage'?
Racial deck control, Big DH support, etc.
All the Demon Hunter cards from the Lost City of Un'Goro have been revealed. This Demon Hunter is characterized by having the main concept of 'Damage 2'.
First of all, looking at the quest, 1 mana[Unleash the Colossus]requires you to deal exactly 2 damage to the enemy 15 times on your turn, and as a reward, you get[Golis, the Colossus].
[Golis, the Colossus]is a 5 mana 8/8 minion, and its Battlecry has the effect of dealing 2 more damage each time I deal exactly 2 damage to the enemy during this game.
In other words, it's a concept of continuing to attack with exactly 2 damage by using damage 2 spells, attack power 2 minions, or attack power 2 weapons. After completing the quest, the damage increases, so it shows sufficient firepower even in the late game.
However, if you deal 2 damage 15 times, that's a total of 30 damage, and even considering the damage dealt to minions, it's a considerable amount of damage, so there's a possibility that the victory or defeat has already been decided by the time you receive the quest reward.
Several cards have also been revealed to support this concept.
[Golis Wasp]is a 6 mana 2/8 beast, and whenever this minion takes damage, you get[Golis Stinger]. 2 mana spell[Swarming Pests]gives you two[Golis Stinger].[Golis Stinger]is a 1 mana spell. Deal 2 damage and summon a 2/1 grub with Rush.
In other words,[Golis Stinger]can satisfy the quest conditions twice with one.[Golis Wasp]has 8 health, so it can be attacked 2-3 times to meet the quest conditions. However, the cost is slightly high at 6 mana, so there is a possibility that the tempo will be pushed back.
[Swarming Pests]is a card that can deal a total of 4 damage for 4 mana and put out a 2/1 Rush minion. It's also good that you can use it in advance in the early stages to divide the mana, so even if it's not a damage 2 concept deck, it seems like it can be used to control the early field.
Also,[Golis Stinger]can target the opponent's face, so it is characterized by being a good spell to use for the final finish after completing the quest.
3 mana 2/4 beast[Groundskeeper Golis]has Stealth and the effect of dealing 2 damage to the enemy hero after this minion attacks. Since it is Stealth, it guarantees a stable activation of the ability at least once, and its attack power is also 2, so it additionally fills the quest stack.
3 mana weapon[Insect Claws]is 2/2 and summons a 2/1 grub with Rush after my hero attacks. With one attack, you can immediately deal 4 damage to the minion, and it's a weapon with a total damage of 8, so it's quite a good tempo weapon. It fills the quest stack quickly and seems to be usable in aggro as well.
In addition to the damage 2 concept, the Demon Hunter received two racial minion control cards.
[Beetle Tamer]is a 4 mana 5/3 minion and deals 6 damage to enemy minions with minion races with Battlecry. It is expected that similar keywords will be added in this expansion and many minions with racial values will be used, so it is a card that can snipe such minions.
Also, the 2 mana Fel spell[Fumigation]deals 3 damage to a minion and 3 damage to all other minions with the same race value as that minion. It is a card that can show tremendous efficiency against Weenie decks based on racial values. In particular, the low cost is good for suppressing racial aggro decks.
[Silithid Queen]is a 5 mana 5/2 beast with Rush and grants +5 attack power to my hero this turn with 유사. It's quite a powerful effect, but the problem is that there are few beasts that Demon Hunters can use to activate 유사.
Released together,[Golis Wasp][Groundskeeper Golis]are there, but[Silithid Queen]is far from the damage 2 concept, and otherwise, you have to adopt the 3 mana Rush beast[Helfire Viper]or other neutral beasts, so it is not easy to activate 유사.
1 mana spell[Hive Map]discovers a Fel spell, and if you play that spell this turn, you can choose one more spell. Since Demon Hunters have a number of good Fel spells, it is a discovery spell that is easy to use.
The last card to look at is the 9 mana 7/7 legendary minion[Entomologist Toru]. The text of the English version and other languages was clearly different when it was first released, but it has since been unified with modifications. With Battlecry, each minion in my hand is placed in a bottle that is 1 mana 0/1, and when the bottle is broken, the effect of releasing that minion is applied.
It's a card for Big Demon Hunter, but it costs 9 mana, and it requires a cumbersome task of breaking a 0/1 minion without additional Taunt, so it is unlikely to be actually used.
There are currently 84 cards in the Lost City of Un'Goro expansion pack that have been released, and the card information can be found at the link below.
