Introduction to the X-Bow, a card that Clash Royale users hate and love. Feature of slowly chipping away at the opponent's tower health. Can also tilt the opponent. Similar to the Mortar, but the X-Bow is only used as a main card. Received many balance patches since its early days.

The X-Bow existed since the Clash Royale beta. Initially very powerful (fast attack speed, high health, wide attack range). Could attack air. After release, in February 2016, health decreased by 15% and air attack disabled nerf. Deployment time increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds nerf. Attack range decreased from 13 tiles to 12 tiles nerf. Bug occurred where it attacked its own tower instead of the opponent's tower.

In June 2016, deployment time decreased from 5 seconds to 4 seconds, health increased by 18% buff. Various decks appeared, such as the Bowler X-Bow deck. Fast cycle decks such as the Archer X-Bow deck and cycle X-Bow deck became popular. In 2017, an X-Bow deck with Elixir Collector and Musketeer appeared. In March 2017, attack speed stealth patch (0.3 seconds -> 0.25 seconds). In August 2017, deployment time decreased from 4 seconds to 3.5 seconds buff. Initial combination of the Ice Golem, Ice Wizard, Mega Minion 'Ice-Bow' deck appeared. Inferno Tower damage 41% buff, Inferno Tower era begins.

Birth of the Ice-Bow deck and the Electro Archer X-Bow (Annoying X-Bow) deck with Archers. Induced draws with fast cycle and strong defense. Recorded a 58% win rate in Grand Challenges. The popularity of the X-Bow deck declined due to Ice Spirit, Ice Golem, and Inferno Tower nerfs. X-Bow deck maintained due to Archer range buff.

In March 2019, health increased by 4% buff. The addition of the tiebreaker rule weakened the turtling meta, and Inferno X-Bow decks rose. In March 2020, nerf where Earthquake spell damage was applied even when the Inferno Tower was hidden. X-Bow pick rate and win rate declined due to the Earthquake spell meta. The Ice-Bow deck revived with the Tornado rework. In December 2020, X-Bow lifespan decreased from 40 seconds to 30 seconds, health decreased by 4%, attack speed decreased nerf, damage increased by 30%.

The X-Bow has not received any more buffs or nerfs since the December 2020 patch. The X-Bow's position weakened due to Earthquake spell buffs and the appearance of new Champions. Survived as an evolution deck with evolved Archers and evolved Inferno Tower after the release of evolution cards. Evolved Archers and evolved Inferno Tower synergize well with X-Bow decks. Currently, the large X-Bow has a low pick rate of 2% and a win rate of 50%.

Currently, the Archer X-Bow deck (including evolved Archers and evolved Inferno Tower) and the Ice-Bow deck (including evolved Knight and evolved Inferno Tower) are mainly used. It doesn't seem too bad, as top-ranked players occasionally use it.
