Gen.G Ruler: "I want to face T1 again in the finals"

In the 2025 MSI match between Gen.G and T1 held on the 10th at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, Gen.G defeated T1 3:2 after a full set, advancing to the final.

After the match, 'Ruler' Park Jae-hyuk said, "I expected today's match to be difficult, and it was as difficult as I expected. That's why the joy is doubled, and I feel good."

He continued, "The first set was close and the most important," and regarding Gen.G's 22-match winning streak since the LCK Cup finals, he said, "We communicate a lot about how we can play well. That's why we can make quick decisions in any situation."

He was also asked about the most important aspect of this series against T1. He replied, "I thought it would be important to do well in the laning phase, but when I actually played, teamfights were the most important." He also said, "The ban/pick phase is really important. It's important whether the play goes smoothly according to the ban/pick, and I think there are many full-set games because it's a fearless draft."

When asked if he personally hoped for a specific opponent in the finals, he said, "The match against AL was fun, but the match against T1 was more fun, and I hope T1 comes back up and we have another fun match."

'Ruler', who is aiming for the championship with Gen.G in 2025, two years after winning the MSI with JD Gaming in 2023, concluded the interview by saying, "I couldn't go to international tournaments in 2024. I felt despair at that time. I'm happy to be in a situation where I can look forward to winning now, and I really want to win."
